Yeah because Bill probably removed that guy's comment on a site he doesn't have any control over.

How do some of these people manage to surf teh Internets in the first place?

AOL, of course. :D

Worst thing that ever happened to the internet was letting the unwashed masses on it. :P

Hahahaha.  Why does anonymity on the Internet frequently rouse the "fanboy" in some people?  Aside from the obvious rhetoric implication in that phrase, I honestly don't know.

Rifftrax fanboys, CT fanboys, MST3K fanboys, "Joel fanboys",  "Mike fanboys"; how inane.  As with all aspects of "fanboyism", creating a camp and sticking to it simply because some people enjoy being reactionary approaches the height in plural ineptitude in so many ways.  So much so, that I think I've become an "anti-fanboy...er...uh...fanboy" of sorts.  I see fanboyism in so many things that I'm being strangely desensitized to it, while becoming reactionary to it at the same time.  Its a strange dichotomy, but an intriguing one nonetheless.  Doh, I'm on the verge of rambling to banbal extremes again...sorry about that.

I like most everything associated with Best Brains, CT, Rifftrax, and MST3K.  Well, I like the IPs.  Some of the users I can do without, but there's nothing new about that.

Keep kicking ass and entertaining us riffers, and your true fans will always understand what this is all about.  Rifftrax vs CT in a hateful way?  Hell no.  Rifftrax vs CT in a good natured competitive contest to ou tdo one another?  You're dam right.

I'm now an "anti-fanboy fanboy" fanboy.

all hail the prophet disembaudio who makes it possible to hear the voice of comedic heaven known as mike and "the guys"

CM916

I think its alright to have a preference but it's completely illogical to take a "side" or even think this is a war. Joel created the concept but Mike was always on hand as a writer. These people are friends and sometimes find the insanity of their fans to be highly amusing. I beleive it was Joel who admitted to participating in the great Mike vs Joel internet flame war under a false identity.

I love the guys that introduced me to the concept, Mike and the Bots best of all but as I type this I am watching Santa Claus Conquers the Martians from the Joel/Trace era. In the same DVD case, I might also watch an early appearance by Mike in his performance as Torgo, pizza delivery man.

Mike said it best, in comparing it to wrestling.  Basically, a public war can bring support to both 'sides.'

P.S.  How did I find out about Cinematic Titanic?  From Rifftrax.

I agree.  I really don't think either one will take business from the other, as fans will be clamoring for anything that the guys put out - especially since MST3k now seems a bit of a hollow shell - so I don't know why there'd be any serious competition.  I think like the guys (and gals) doing the riffing, the competition between fans should remain friendly.

I agree to!  I gotta say that I enjoye Cinematic Titanic about as much as I would a Joel episode of MST3K.  The riffs were very quick-witted and clever but not altogether hilarious like RT's.  But I love both, so I will support both faithfully.

There's another group that's popped up called Incognito Cinema Warriors XP that I really like and they kinda fill a bit of the emptiness left by MST3K.  They do host segments and have puppets.  It's not a fan-vid.  You can watch the first 30 mins by going here: http://myspacetv.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=vids.individual&videoid=26419710

I boguht their DVD and have it right next to my copy of CT and Mike's House on Haunted Hill DVD.
