Most memorable things about movies this year.

[Zardoz!]

OK, there are two things I remember most about movies this year:

1. The right bitching about how "Superman returns" was  gay feminist version of superman.

2. The fucking iranians bitching about how "300" was a bust on iran.

I saw goth movies, BTW, simnply because of the "people" who were bitching about them....

2. The fucking iranians bitching about how "300" was a bust on iran.

My brain twisted itself into a pretzel trying to figure out just how the fuck someone could genuinely think that 300 was racist.

Transformers managed to split fan reaction more violently than I've ever seen. It's obviously a bad movie, but it had parts that were so appealing, people, (including myself, for a time,) were willing to forgive it's myrade multitude of flaws.

... and wasn't Superman Returns released in 2006?  Did The Year in Movies seem that long? ;-)
