Thanks for riffing the Star Wars flicks.   It's great.  I've always thought bad and good movies should be mistied.  And I might be the only one on this board that liked all the Star Wars flicks.  Not because they were good, but because I was holding on to any chance I could have those good memories from the 80s (and late 70s).   I wanted that same feeling, but since I'm an adult now I guess I could not have that same feeling for the 3 new ones.   I think it would be fun to rip all good and bad sci fi flicks.  Make it an equal opportunity riff.  ;D

I love that RiffTrax riffs both good and bad movies. Its a neat motto.
Its definitely a different niche then MST was...and I like it!

I love rifftrax to.. I just wish Mike Bill and Kevin could all riff together =)... Then Rifftrax would be the best thing ever.. Almost as good as Mystery Science Theater 3000..

AHH!! WE HAVE MOVIE SIGN!!!

I gotta say that I was eagerly anticipating the Phantom Menace rifftrax. Then I watched it and it opened my eyes to just how mediocre the movie was. I had held on to the belief that if not for Jar Jar, it would've been a good movie. Not only did they skewer Jar Jar, but they pointed out how bad an actor the kid playing Anakin was, how stilted everyone elses acting was . . . although I was laughing the whole way through, it made me a little sad, too.

All that said, I'm still very glad they did it. Eventually the fanboy needs to take the film on its own merits.

I'd like them to do the original trilogy.  It would give me an excuse to go buy them   ;D

I was the same way.  I recently purchased the Phantom Menace RT, and while watching the film for the first time since its release day back in 1999, I had forgotten just exactly how horrible it was.

Conversely, my girlfriend and I (both huge fans of the LotR films) watched the first part of the Fellowship RT last night, and like the original poster, I'm glad to see good films savaged too (though the bad ones are, admittedly, more fun).   ;D
