Rifftrax DVD Player issues

Okay, the Rifftrax DVD player cannot make it through more than 45 minutes of a movie without crashing.  I've downloaded the most recent version, and it still does this.  Also, it won't load the audio if I try to fastforward within a scene.

It helps people to help you if you give some more information about your setup, what movie you're trying to watch, etc

I'm using Windows XP Professional Version 2002 Service Pack 2.  My computer has a 1.82 GHz processor with 512 MB of RAM.  I have tried Spider-Man and Casino Royale on the Rifftrax Player, and the program crashes after approximately half an hour to forty-five minutes with both of them.  And after it's crashed once and has been re-started, it won't play more than five minutes without crashing again.

Are you able to play DVDs all the way thru with any other Players?  Is it a new computer?

I usually don't have trouble with other players.  Except Interactual seems to have volume issues.  But that's a different forum.  And the computer is fairly ancient.  I think we got it in 2001.
