I'd buy that for a dollar!

I think I was part of the last generation to see these kind of movies in Driver's Ed. I don't remember this one in particular, at least yet.

The two things I do remember from these films are; One scene where a lady teacher was ejected from her car, through the windshield, and had a nice trail of blood from where she hit the ground all the way up to where she was dead on the ground several feet away and the fact that some girl in our class was scared so bad by these movies, she refused to get behind the wheel and failed Drivers Ed.

Mechanized Death is a classic driver's ed shocker as well as Wheels of Agony. There is a great documentary called Hell's Highway that is all about these flicks and the people that made them.

The one they showed us in High School was "Blood on the Highway." Good stuff.

So here's a question...

Any chance of that animated RiffTrax logo becoming available for download?  I'd love to use it in my reauthors.

I'm new to the whole Divx thing.  How do we get them onto a disk to play in a home player?  Or is this not an option for this short.

I haven't tried it yet but there appears to be a disc burning tool right on the side of the player. Apparently you need a DivX ready DVD player to play the disc that you burn.

All that does is burn a data file to DVD. It is not DVD -Video or anything. You then have to have a DIVX device and you have to register it with DIVX in order to play it.  I wonder how many devices you can register?  I have two.

I liked the preview.  Is the full version not available yet?  I don't see anything that lets me buy it anywhere.

No, we just riffed the first three minutes.  The free preview is all there is...for now...

Rats! I always get the fuzzy end of the lollipop  :-[

I checked on the Divx website and my Samsung DVD-HD860 is a registered Divx playback device.   I looked on their website and I dont see any "register your device" and since my DVD player is not connected to the internet, I dont think you really have to register your devices, do you?

Dont you just make a "burn" and then play it on your DVD player?

:-[

Bob

:-[   Never mind, you DO have to register your actual player.   Man, this sounds like a pain.

Yes there is a difference between DivX Certified and "registered."

It's actually pretty easy, you do it right from the software player. No need to have an Internet-enabled device.
