Horrible, loud buzzing

What a great title for a thread!

Anyway, here's an odd problem. I'm on a Mac, with Leopard. I downloaded the DivX player and the Reefer Madness demo to see how well it all worked, When I started the demo and pushed Play on the DivX player, nothing happened save for an extremely loud, harsh buzzing noise that stayed at the same volume no matter what my computer's volume was set to (except for 'mute'). Nothing came on screen - the player stayed black.

Has anyone else experienced this kind of problem? I'd really love to download these videos, as finding the physical copies can be difficult.

Yeah there is an issue with the Leopard system, which is described pretty much everywhere I could find room for it. Basically, there seems to be a problem with the DivX Mac player on any OS larger than 10.4.11.

Although the DivX Labs have a newish Leopard update, try giving that a shot: http://labs.divx.com/
