The Google Video version is an upload of the WMAR Baltimore broadcast, which I have a DVD of (with the original commercials intact). It's made from an original VHS recording, so it'll look a LOT better than downloading from GV and converting.

I will sent the first five people who email me at reverendbeastly AT gmail DOT com a copy of this DVD for RiffTrax'ing purposes. Please no private messages. I'd like to get it to some of the forum regulars, so I'd also like your post count to be above, say, 150. Kind of hypocritical, given my post count, but hey, I'm the guy giving away free DVDs  ;D

After those people receive their DVDs, if they would send them to a batch of other forum members, that would be great. And so on. Like a good ol' MST3K tree. Remember those? Good times.

Let the emailing commence!

EDIT: Please include your forum name in the email so I know who you are :)

I only have 70 post or so but I'd like in on this. I'd even paypal you the postage cost.

I have Nero 6 and it won't burn this thing (or play it, Windows Media Player won't play it either).  It wants me to upgrad (the Nero).  Any free ways of burning this to DVD?  Help.  Please.  Thanks!  If I can get it to a DVD, I should be able to get it going.

Thanks for any help

Branch 1 reporting for duty. (I'll update you all when I get it).

I also got in on copy from Reverend (yay).  I'd be happy to make some copies for others when I get it.  If we all do 5-10, all the irregular regulars will get one at least.
mike5150 how tall are you?.....in gallons?

Hey, I have a 1981 Chargers - Dolphins AFC playoff game on DVD if they want to riff that too.

That would be sort of redundant.  Then, as now, Chargers games tended to riff themselves.

But this is the famous "Kellen Winsow Sr." game.   See the 210 pound defensive ends.   See the 150 pound kickers.   See the bad K-car ads.

Yes, what she said!

That was damn fast! All five copies are now spoken for. I'm sorry, Moyer, but I replied to all the emails to me before I saw your message. I am sure that one of the five will help you out once they get their discs, which should be very soon. I am going to get these out in the next couple days so as many people can have it before/as the RiffTrax hits as is possible.

On that note, the five forum members you can pester when they get their discs are:
David
AmandaGal
PSLOwner
MrTorso
PlayMSTie
- turns out she cannot make DVD copies. whoops! See her post below

They all are (or at least they seem to be on the internet) fine people willing to help out fellow forum members.

A minor note is that the DVD I have does not feature the crawl that whoever uploaded it to Google Video stuck on it, but I kind of doubt they'd be riffing a fanmade crawl anyway.

I've got Roxio Easy Media creator 7.5 and it wants nothing to do with burning this to a dvd.

Our copy has lots of sweet commercials too.

Guys, I was just telling ReverendBeastly that I'm too technologically stupid to make copies, so what I'll do is make my own VHS copy -- about the limit of my capabilities -- and then send the DVD on to someone else who can make multiple copies of it. Just PM me. First come first served.

I have a large stack of blank DVDs (no, not for pirating........ so get that evil thought out of your head) so I can a bunch of them.

Moyer78

I tried to watch this once and only made it a few minutes in. After about 10 minutes or so, I got the "joke" of it being horrible and decided I didn't have to watch the other hour and 50 minutes to understand it. The quality of the one that I watched was "okay", not great, but you don't expect 1080p HD from a 1978 bootleg VHS copy. I'm glad thier riffing this one. People shouldn't worry, this has to be one of the most widely available bootlegs ever. Hey at least this time we don't have to spend $5 to rent "Glitter".

ReverendBeastly

Moyer, since PlayMSTie can't make DVD copies, I'd like to send out one more to someone who can. Do you fit that description?

David

Sheesh, am I the only tech savvy DVD jockey here?  ::)
Anywho, I will make a new thread (Where should I put it? General RiffTrax talk?) specifically for trading this DVD, as this thread has served its purpose.
