Comic Book Movies You Want Made

I admit, I was tickled pink when they started making real Superhero films. Done well or not, they were the ultimate example of people taking advantage of modern special effects. But the movie makers can be such wimps. They rarely take any chances, so a lot of heroes/books will never see themselves on the silver screen.

With that said, what characters/titles would you like to see made into movies, and who should make them and or star in them?

My picks:
Mister Miracle-

Don't know who would direct or star, honestly, but I'd have them approch it more as Miracle's life story than as "hero vs villain." And on the subject of Hollywood wussing out, I'd have them cast a large woman in the part of Big Barda. Don't just put Jessica Alba in armor, people!

Planetary-

A superwoman, a guy who can read and manipulate information at an existencial level, and a hundred year old detective with ice powers all trying to keep the world alive and weird. I might go with Danny Boyle as director.

I always thought Kingdom Come would make an awesome movie. Not as live action per se, but if they could somehow take Alex Ross' art and digitally animate it or something.

Also, Walking Dead. Romero would be the obvious choice as director, but seeing as how his work is responsble for its existance, directing a film inspired by another franchise you directed years ago written by someone else might make reality as we know it collapse in on itself.

I ahem... would ... like to see a movie about Power Girl.  ;)

Someone make a movie based on Transmetropolitan or the bunny gets it!!!!

Pak-Man

I know I'm all alone on this,. but I'd like to see a movie based on Marvel's forgotten hero, Slapstick. (The semi-heroic Slapstick. Not he drill-sergent beating Slapstick that he has become. :^))

I know I'm less alone on this, but I'd LOVE to see a Deadpool movie. But who could effectively play the ol' Merc with a mouth?

That would be awesome.  Though I expect only someone like Ralph Bakshi would be willing to take something on like that.

I remember a conversation I had with some friends about how we would cast a live-action Kingdom Come.  We couldn't come up with anything that good except I'm convinced about my pic for the older Batman.

It would be weird, considering he's already played a Batman character, and the ultimate Batman villain no less, but I think he'd have the perfect attitude for the old and beat up Bruce.

Okay, if eveybody chips in some knowhow and 100,000 dollars, we can make this happen. I'll get a sample of Alex Ross's blood, you steal some lab equipment, you get some art supplies. Within a few months, we should have a sweatshop full of Alex Rosses to animate the movie. Then, we'll have the army of Rosses kidnap some good voice actors, and viola!

The Adventures of Milk and Cheese
Follow the adventures of these dairy products gone bad as they trash the American pop culture landscape.

It would have to be animated, or massively CGI'd since the main characters are a carton of milk and a hunk of cheese.
I'm open for suggestions on voice talent.

Oh, I totally forgot: The Adventures of Barry Ween, Boy Genius.

Ok, so it's a bit more mainstream then the choices other people have brought up, but after Spider-Man and Batman, the superhero I've always wanted to see on the silver screen the most is Plastic Man. In the right hands, it would easily be the most entertaining, most high energy film ever.

A friend of mine wrote a script for Transmetropolitan that he's been shopping around. No, I can't show you it. Cause he's shopping around. Trust me.

Me too, he's always been one of my favorites, but you know it'll end up as a Jim Carey vehicle (or whoever his heir is).
