You should add the ability to import MP3s into the RiffTrax player...

Maybe I'm wrong, and a .RIFF file already exists for ever movie you've done (except The Bourne Identity, which apparently doesn't have one), but if not you should consider giving the player the ability to play MP3s.  As it stands, the Rifftrax player makes it really easy to get the audio levels exactly where you want them.  Also, unless you've got an external MP3 player (or a burned CD) its a tad difficult to push play on two separate programs simultaneously.

I wouldn't think it'd be too hard to program the existing player to just add MP3 playing ability, and if you throw in a button that lets you start up the MP3 & the DVD at the same time, it'll make it all the easier to set up the perfect sync.

The mp3s don't start at the same time as the movie.  They'd have to add a button to allow you to stop/start the mp3 when needed.

I think the plan is to eventually have riff files for all the movies.
mike5150 how tall are you?.....in gallons?

I was thinking along the lines of something that would let you play the MP3 up to the point where you're supposed to pause it, then let you play the DVD & the MP3 at the same time with the push of a button.

There is actually a reasonable compile time on each .riff, so that wouldn't be extremely convenient. However the goal is to have a .riff for each release done. Conor will probably post something each time they add a few. Also the new catalogue pages show what formats are available for each rifftrax, so you could periodically check those.

And as many people have learned, even doing that doesn't guarantee perfect sync. Our player (still in Beta, really) is helping to address that. We will, as Bathtub mentioned, have .,riff files for all movies eventually. We're adding them one at a time, and will probably even be adding a few this weekend. The nice thing is that as long as there's a record of you purchasing, say, Wicker Man - when a riff file is released it'll show up in your account automatically, no extra charge.

MP3s are nice but there's no way we could include all of the sync information in them. The .riff file is the best possible solution.

The reason I keep asking is that I should be getting the DVD any day now, and it would make life so much easier if the .riff file was also available for that one.

So if you are taking requests...   ;D
