Quote*sob* I know! I know!!! I guess I'm just an idealist!!! I keep trying to tell myself that movies are made for the sake of art, but it keeps not happening unless it's a weird independant film that's boring, is in another language and makes no sense!! *sob*

Thanks Tyrant, that made me laugh, if only because I when I read it I heard it in my head with Kevin's voice, when he cries in frustration (always funny).

Wait they are remaking the Birds!

Come on!

Psycho was bad enough!

No one should have to live through this happening twice in there life time.
And, worse, they remade Dial M For Murder with Michael Douglas and what's-her-face from Shakespeare In Love....

Christopher Reeve re-did Rear Window (although that got really good reviews).

Now all we need is a remake of Rope.....

Doctor Who?

Darn you $ooly$ood!

You have turned most of my favorite movies in to jokes!

If you remake Citizen Kain or Metropolis I will get really mad.

And for the record....I can forgive a lot in a movie that's a good idea but had to be made on a shoestring, or the state of SFX can't pull off what was necessary or the "talent" wasn't really up to it.  I can even "augment" the film in my mind as I watch it if I'm really enjoying it.  I pretend I see what it was they were going for.

Millions spent on movies that had little of no idea behind it to begin with really pisses me off.

I was always curious, when some of these movies are being made, do you think anyone ever steps back and says "Man, this is a bad movie".  Not that they would necessarily do anything about it, because again of the money issue, but just to acknowledge the fact.

I think this happens quite a bit.  Don't quote me on this but I don't think they allowed anyone to prescreen "The Adventures of Pluto Nash" and review it because they were hoping to dupe enough people into seeing it the first week to pay for it's production.  They didn't want the negative reviews to stop anybody.

I don't know what he said about it while he was directing it, but Robert Fiveson did call Clonus "crappy" after the fact.  ;D
