Somewhat decent PC/Mac owners Left 4 Dead 2 is on sale for one day for $6.80 on Steam. Probably my favorite game the past few years to play. So many custom campaigns (you have to find them and download them most are on www.l4dmaps.com) you can play 3 or 4 games worth of campaigns with this super cheap purchase.

Amazon's deal of the day is the Toy Story trilogy on Blu Ray for $45. It's the 10 disc set in the toybox package one.

Saw that. Almost bought for resale later.
Looks like they're not that much more expensive than the ones on Ebay. Seems like it'd end up being too much work for maybe a $15 net gain. I just used this as an excuse to finally own them.

I gots. I'm glad I held off on buying TS3.

If it had regular cases inside, I'd probably have done it.  I hate special giant packaging though.
I usually don't mind it. The special full series set of Home Movies is nice because it's basically just a wooden box with all the slim cases that were in the individual sets inside. This one is kind of terrible though. You've got the rectangular toy box with all ten discs lined up diagonally. Makes it impossible to take them out without touching the bottom of the disc. If I had a printer I'd probably try to find the covers online and put at least the Blu Rays in their own cases.

Woot-off underway. Oddly, it's at texasrangers.com rather than woot.com. Weird.

For reasons that I'm not quite sure of, Sunday is Dave's day, and the Famous Dave's BBQ chain (located in 37 states) is offering free entrees (up to $15) to anyone named Dave today. If your middle name is Dave, it's half off. And if you're named Arby, well, you have my deepest condolences.

I'd make a reference to the international Dave conspiracy here, but I'm likely the only one to remember that from Narbonic, so I won't. But Dave Van Domelen, you get to help run the world and get free food today! Grats!

Dang... my middle name is Dave.  Well, it's David.  But I'm sure that's just a technicality.  Missing the day by two weeks.... not so much a technicality.

Pretty cool.  My great grandfather had one of those at his farm up in Nova Scotia when I was really little.

Best Buy $5 off $14.99 or more DVD/BD coupon.  Expires 7/31.

I used it to buy Blues Brothers and Animal House for $10 each today (had my wife buy the other one).  They didn't read the fine print or anything, so it went smoothly.

They're doing this deal again. A complete list of eligible titles is at bestbuy.com/upgradeandsave. I got Pulp Fiction, Grindhouse and Trainspotting for $10 apiece, and The Usual Suspects for $5.

Well, it's that time of year and Black Friday info is starting to trickle in. And here's an omen of things to come:

Best Buy will be opening at midnight on Black Friday. And more interestingly, in 20 markets, they'll be opening at 9 PM.

We'll see if other retail stores are going to follow suit.
