...

Did anyone ever get word on whether the "official" DVD cover will be available for download to the people who ordered The Oozing Skull? Don't we have an inside man around here somewhere?

You can't even buy a decent pizza for $16... you people are cheap.

I don't think i have ever paid more then $13 for a good Pizza,if it costs more then that I make my own.

Doctor Who?

That thought had crossed my mind too,if that is the case I guess in a few months time the Discs will cost a lot more so i should pick it up now.

It looks to me like the Fan project ICWXP is off to a better start then CT.

He said a decent Pizza.

You could put meat on it for another buck, but look at all those lovely toppings.

Yeah, I'm pretty convinced that the CT folks really need a business manager of some kind.  The infrequency of the product, the poorly handled initial release, etc.  Joel is no businessman.  In fact, the best illustration of that is his idea that CT needs to get off the ground before trading crew with RiffTrax.  If he really knew his audience, he'd have been on a RiffTrax that came out the week before the CT DVD did.  Cross-promotion like that would have been extremely beneficial to his product.

Imagine the buzz that Mike and Joel riffing together would have generated!  And then all the people who bought that RiffTrax (likely including many, many MSTies who hadn't tried RiffTrax yet and/or aren't that connected to the MST3K "scene") would have heard him plugging CT and gotten a taste of what they were in for with CT via Joel's riffing.  He really, really missed the boat on that one.  It's a shame Joel doesn't have Mike's business sense (and/or help from people who do, like Legend Films).

That's what I thought.  I misread it at first and thought "wait, that's not the same person"

Anyway, back to the CT talk...

I thought the initial effort (outside of the packaging/shipping/delays) was mediocre for the most part.  There were some parts that were funny, but overall nothing that made me laugh out loud.  I'm assuming it's just because it's just getting going and that it will get better.

If I was an unknowing person who had never seen MST3K, and had just seen that initial CT release, I'd probably not bother watching any others.  However since I know those guys are capable of much better, I'll keep buying them.

In the IFC interview that i posted Joel was saying that the next one is tentatively going to be released at the end of April.  So i agree that they need to get things a little more organized and find someone to help them get things running better.

Yeah.  The sad thing is that I'm actually looking more forward to ICWXP episodes than CT.  Because at least they have a solid release schedule and we know what movies they'll be doing next.

So, CT needs to pick up the pace and at least get on some kind of solid schedule.  They've already killed a lot of the momentum they might have gained from their first episode.  I'm hoping that starting with episode 2 we'll see CT release their episodes more quickly and at a steady pace.
