Here's something I that just occurred to me:

Do you guys think Cinematic Titanic might have been Joel and the lads' (and lass's) contingency plan as a way to ride out the Writer's Strike?  I mean, the timing might just be coincidental, but then again, it might not be.  Just a thought.  Incidentally, have you seen Frank's writer's strike video?  It's definitely worth checking out.

The idea for CT came up looooooooong before the writer's strike, and we started working out all the details long before the strike, too.

Which raises a question I've been wondering about due to all the speculation on this board that I'm not sure has been answered and I'm too lazy to go more than 5 pages back....  When was the idea of CT conceived?  And how much of it had to do with Rifftrax/the Film Crew?

Not trying to be an asshole here either, my thoughts were just great minds think alike

I don't know exactly when Joel, Trace and Frank started talking about doing it. Maybe 4 or 5 months ago.

I'm intrigued by the tagline... "CinemaTitanic: The 500 film movie riff project"

Five hundred?!?

Mike's about a tenth of the way there. And MST3K got up to what, 200?
I'm gonna need some bigger shelves.

176 plus 1 movie plus the local MN show (whose count I do not at present remember).
I can fit 3 episodes per VCD, or 6 per DVD-R, so it really doesn't take that much space.

21 KTMA episodes 18 of which are available.

Either that or they just like to have a pic of Trace and Mary Jo up while watching the movie  ;)

They're going to riff an episode of SNL that has "Toonces the Driving Cat" in it. Duh! ;)
