I know some people have an aversion to Willie and Short Round. If you can get over the sidekicks, though, it's a fantastic movie. I can't think of a better action set piece in the whole series than the mine cart chase.
I don't mind Short Round so much, because he is at least trying to be competent. I just never understood why Indy would want to bring along a kid on his dangerous missions. Willie on the other hand is insufferable. And the worst part is she doesn't even get a character arc where she becomes more competant and less complaining over time. Especially coming after the great character of Marian in the first movie. And it doesn't surprise me that both Lucas and Speilberg had just had divorces prior to this, as this is clearly made by some bitter woman-hating men at the time.

Though Speilberg went on to marry Kate Capshaw...

So am I the only one whos favorite is Last Crusade? I will still admit Raiders is the best film though.

I haven't seen the Indiana Jones 80s Trilogy in a long time and have just added them to my Netflix queue :o

One of my biggest issues with Temple of Doom is that the stakes aren't very high. So... Indiana has to stop a child slave labor operation? Okay, extremely noble to be sure, but it's still hardly on par with stopping the Nazis from taking over the Earth with the Ark or the Holy Grail.  I have to admit, for me, making Indy into a zombie was annoying. I can't stand a movie where the primary protagonist basically becomes a mindless zombie and the only thing that can snap him out of it is FIRE. We also consciously know there's got to be a scene where somebody has to snap him out of it, and that makes Indiana a weaker character in my eyes. He is so strong-willed, he shouldn't need ANYBODY, let alone Short Round to snap him out of it. I think my point is with Temple of Doom, even with all the stunts, there's very little for me to get excited about. That being said though, I'll still take Temple of Doom over Crystal skull any day.

I would say rescuing the enslaved children was the most heroic thing he did. He is really only relevant to stopping the bad guys in Temple of Doom.

Oh, I don't know, he beat the Nazis using something they did not have, knowledge. That was all Indy.

I edited me previous post because I kind of contradicted myself.  If Indy had not have gotten involved in Raiders its entirely likely WWII would have not even happened.  Belloch would have opened the Ark in Berlin in front of Hitler and his face would have melted off.

I wasn't even thinking about that either. You're right though. :)

I still wonder, who would have brought the ark home from Germany though?

Nestor and SF Sketchfest 2015 make 245 VODs, so those are the 2 extras on the catalog webpage...

I was numbering my files, but when it got to be around 200 I started to want to list alphabetically to find certain ones easier so took out all the numbers...

Interesting... I find it easier to find them based on 'relative age' (possibly because I don't always remember the titles).

And you're right, the Sketchfest shorts are what make up the difference.  So I was only a 'Nestor' off (in both lists), apparently.

I was also finding them easier that way at first, well several years, but once the list got too long it started getting harder to remember what area to search in, and after seeing them a few times the names started to stick.

Nope, Last Crusade is my favorite also, great interactions between the characters, and it has the best scenery.  Raiders would be a very close second, nearly equal in my view.

I have to watch Temple of Doom again on a big screen, I've only seen it on a small TV, on VHS, and only once.  I thought it was OK, just a little weak, but I'm sure it loses some of it's punch on a small screen.

Last Crusade is held back because of that young Indiana Jones crap at the beginning. Luckily I found a fan edit that gets rid of it.

Don't lie.   I saw your post before you edited it.  You accidentally typed in what you  thought was a tweet to your Hello Kitty fan-friends. "@Kawaii neko mimi #luv'em #catboy."

But, don't worry, your secret is safe with me, and the rest of the internet. :-*
