Even if you hated 300, please admit that it doesn't deserve this.

Aw, man, awesome. Why couldn't that fruity musical have been like this 1776?

Heh.  I did look for it on Youtube while I was posting, but the video had been yanked.  Nice to see it back up though.

I had to post it myself, and use goofy tags so it might not get taken down as fast and so I won't have my account suspended.

Hey my friend worked on this movie, and although we should not harm her (she is only trying to make a living after all) the writers and directors of this film are...well...they deserve the eye stabbing.
So is it called Mett the Spartans? because the working title was hunting and fishing, but I must admit it is a better title than anything my ffriend and i came up with.

Seconded (I think) 1776 is an excellent musical. William Daniels is great in the film version.

meh, 300 deserves whatever it has coming...

But do we deserve this?  True we can just not go to the theater, but the damn ads will still be on tv and radio, thus potentially infecting us with dumb.

turn off the tv or change the channel if you don't like it. People need to realise that OMG! they have some control over what they expose themselves to. If you are so afraid that you might be "infected with dumb" from (oh noes!) watching or hearing an ad for some stupid movie, you, my friend, aren't going to get any dumber...

Or you can go back to college.  Damn college has a way of cutting off everything about the outside world.  It's gloriously terrifying when you think about it.   :P

doggans

Speaking as a college student, I was completely unable to get away from ads for Date Movie and Epic Movie. Most of them were during reruns of "Frasier". I'm not sure what made them think the "Frasier"-watching audience fit into their ideal demographic.

Dim of the Yard

Fair enough.  I'm in college, as well, but I figure if I have time for TV, I get something without the potential for commercials, so I mostly stick to movies or TV series on DVD.  Unless I skip over to IMDb or something, I'm completely clueless about upcoming movies.  However, I know a bit more about the Marx Brothers than most people in my generation that I know personally do... namely that there was more to them than the guy with the nose and the mustache who makes for silly costume glasses.

Edit: Clarified something in the post.  Sweeping generalizations are bad, mmm-kay?

But you don't. You still see this shit EVERYWHERE. Posts on the internet, sneaky little attack ads that blast at you out of webpages (even with Firefox, I still come across intellitext shit or sidebar ads).  I don't watch TV or listen to the radio, and I still run across this crap once in awhile. It's absolutely pestilential.

Only free for 30 days? :(

Actually, it says it is only free for 30 days, but it never expires. You can keep using it after the 30 days with no reduced functionality - it only ever comes up if you try to contact technical support for sommething and your 30 days are up. I've been using my copy for over a year with no problems.

It also filters unnecessary tracking cookies, and blocks a lot of spyware downloads before they end up on your machine in the first place.
