A lot of these Latin phrases are quite famous anyways, so a blunt search in Google should give us some clues as to what it is.

Anyone got any ideas about the significance of what the subject translates as?  Do you think it means the lead actor has passed or what?

"...cherubin et flammeum gladium atque versatilem ad custodiendam viam ligni vitae"

"...cherubim and a flaming sword flashing back and forth to guard the way to the tree of life"

Genesis 3:24

The entire verse is:

"After he drove the man out, he placed on the east side [e] of the Garden of Eden cherubim and a flaming sword flashing back and forth to guard the way to the tree of life."

I believe our debate was regarding the availabilty of online Latin translators.  Of course we already knew what it meant (from your post and the earlier post by Estwald).  :)  Now the real question is what does it really mean???   :P

I think thats the most interesting guess so far...if that isn't correct, hopefully were thinking in the right direction.

"May He Rest In Peace"  (-cat?)

Bible verse...

Who knows...  I'm excited though.

The Lion, The Witch, and the Wardrobe?
The Tree of Life symbolism can be seen throughout as well as other christian overtones. :^)

Hm.  Tantum Ergo has connections with the Eucharist or "thanksgiving".  Any thoughts?

Apart from the event, that is  :)

mrbakasan

I keep trying to think through some of the religious tones of the clues and I keep coming up with movies like,
Michael, The Prophecy, Raiders of the Lost Ark, Dragonheart (ok so maybe that one isn't religious), but I feel like I'm barking up entirely the wrong tree.

lion the witch and the wardrobe is a good idea, very good in fact, since the story deals directly with that verse.  or is that indirectly?  either way.

no one liked my ten commandment idea from earlier?

I'm gonna venture a guess and say the next Rifftrax will be End Of Days, being Rifftrax's first venture into the world of Schwarzenegger. Plus the Bible correlation...

Just my guess.   ;)

I like it.  It'd have to be better than a Passion of the Christ Rifftrax.   ;)
Imrahil: Don't care about Riding with Death.

Bob: Turkey.

Action Batch:  Woah, let's all mellow out and rap about this.
