Thank God for RIFFTRAX

Hey, I'm new here. Hello, everyone!

I have to say, I was a fan of MST3K from even before I got a chance to see the show! It was on Comedy Central, but my cable co. did carry Comedy Central, so a friend would put eps on tape for me to watch. Then, when my cable co. DID get Comedy Central, MST3K was gone! Ugh! Well, then Sci-Fi picked it up and well, all was right w/ the world. To me, MST3K was THE FUNNIEST show on TV (and this was the 'Friends' era we're talkin' here!)


So when MST3K went off the air I was UNHAPPY!! I, of course, started buying the Rhino box sets of MST3K as quick as my wallet would allow. And yet there was a certain sadness in the land. The people (in my head) cried out for something new!!  THEN I FOUND RIFFTRAX!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have to say - THANK GOD FOR RIFFTRAX!!! And thanks to Mike, Kevin and Bill !! You guys are hilarious. I just watched Halloween w/ the Rifftrax (only $3 - CHEAP!) and laughed my butt off!!! Thanks guys for coming back and thanks for the funny. (I've already passed the site on to a few of my Trek friends out there!)

I'm all for praising false idols but I don't know if I'd worship Rifftrax.  I'd vote for it and I'd give it money to keep going, but I'm not going to pray to it.  I think there needs to be a separation of church and Rifftrax. 

However, I do worship DisembAudio.  So I guess that makes Mike my president and DisembAudio.... my Pope?

At least Seinfeld is easily in the running for best sitcom. Friends ranks somewhere above Three's Company and below anything funny.

   So let's all remember Rifftrax in our prayers and come Thanksgiving when it's our turn to tell everyone what we're thankful for, we can surprise and amaze family and friends with ten minutes of "and then Mike said..." jokes.  They'll be glad we did!
    If we're really bold, we can switch off the football game or the parades and play "Crossroads" for them. Or is that pushing it?
