After watching the Quiptracks Lost World: Jurassic Park riff, I realized that the little girl who gets hassled by compies in the begining is in fact Camilla Belle, of When a Stranger Calls.

I'm getting SO DAMN OLD. (23)

And that's what makes you So Very Special.   :P

That's what my therapist tells me, anyway.

Michael Keaton started his career on the stage crew for Mister Rogers' Neighborhood

Robin was going to be a character in Batman Returns, except instead of being acrobat Dick Grayson he would've been a black mechanic named Robin who helped fix the Batmobile and played by Marlon Wayans

Brian O'Halloran appears in 4 different Kevin Smith movies as 3 different characters, each with the same last name (are they cousins?)
Clerks: Dante Hicks, QuickStop employee
Mallrats: Gil Hicks, dating game show contestant
Dogma: Grant Hicks, news reporter
Clerks II: Dante Hicks again
also, in the "unvierse" of Kevin Smith films, Clerks character Randall Graves and Mallrats character Brodie Bruce are cousins

Richard Pryor was a co-writer for Blazing Saddles and was supposed to play the lead character, but Cleavon Little was cast instead

The live action He-Man movie "Masters of the Universe" is an unofficial tribute to Jack Kirby comics
-the opening image of Castle Grayskull was drawn by Moebius, who used to draw the Silver Surfer (created by Jack Kirby)
-the movie has very little in common with its cartoon counterpart, but interestingly several characters resemble Jack Kirby's New Gods:
    He-Man - Orion
    Skeletor - Darkseid
    Gwildor - Metron
    Sorceress - Highfather
    Beast Man - Kalibak
    Blade - Kanto
the cosmic key - a motherbox / boom tube
the Power of Grayskull - the Anti-Life Equation

And also did small acting jobs on the show.

Can't remember if it was a show about Keaton or about the Rogers show - they showed a clip of him portraying a soldier in the Revolution, stopping to lean against a tree and wipe his brow.  They were saying over it that he was always the one who didn't just walk through a scene....he actually did some acting.

Which is around the time he changed his name from his given one of "Michael Douglas." Apparently, some other cat already had that name.  :)

I couldn't beleive this one. Remember the "munuh munuh" bit from the Muppet Show? That song was written by composer Pierro Umiliani for a soft core porn flick called Sweden: Heaven & Hell.

Tripe

Suddenly the bit from Volere volare where the Foley artists swap assignments is playing in my head.

Yeah I was quite surprised that it's pretty much a real song and that lots of people have done it over the years.

Yeah, the Muppet Show featured almost no original music, instead using classic Vaudeville numbers, songs from their guest stars, and obviously some very random things as well.  Compare that to Fraggle Rock, where they wrote at least two original songs an episode.

Sorry, Imrahil, I'm gonna have to call a "do unto others as you wish them to do to you" on that one.
