Oops sorry about that, fixed it.

Is it just me or are the spoiler tags not working?  That's what I meant.
Not just you. I can't see any spoiler tag..

O.k., good.  I mean bad.  Good for me, but bad too.  Please stop me!

Pulp Fiction just watched it for the first time yesterday,  great flik

"Who's Zed?"
"Zed's dead baby. Zed's dead"
Every day of my life I find the wisest and best to fix our attention on the Good and the Beautiful. If you just take the time to look at it.

Pulp Fiction IS a great flick! Wow, any other 90's movies that you slept through? ;)

Be sure to check out Reservoir Dogs as well ... (if you haven't already)

a pretty girl is like

Michael Clayton  Very satisfying from start to finish.  At first glance, it has the appearance of just another rote thriller but the palpable outrage leveled at the corruptive and corrosive effects of the all-encompassing corporations that pervades society was so engrossing.  I found it very easy to forgive the film it's flaws because of the conviction of the actors and in particular the nuanced performance by Tilda Swinton.

The Assasination of Jesse James By the Coward Robert Ford What could have ended up as a simple vanity project for Brad Pitt is saved by a great perfomance from Casey Affleck as the titular assasin.  His doe eyed school boy man crush is a wonderful indictment of today's vacuous celebrity chasing culture.  There's also some great cinematography with a dreamlike sepia tinged palette.  However, the way the director holds onto the extra long shots of nature's details would make even Terrence Malick blush with embarrasment.

American Gangster Could have been great.  Should have been great.  Wanted to be great.  Insteat I got a great big meh out of it.  It doesn't cover any new ground.  Worst of all, it falls into the same trap as other gangster films in that it falls in love with the bad guy.  Pretty early on, the film becomes simply another paean to the gangster lifestyle.

Aeon Flux  Thank goodness for Rifftrax.  This gets both an odsbodikins and an Oof Maddon'.
I'm all out for kicks...and every inch of me spells EXCITEMENT!

Jaws -  Awesome.  My favorite Spielberg film.  Now I'm going to watch the Documentary on the 30th Anniversary ed.  There is also another documentary that has yet to find a distributor called THE SHARK IS STILL WORKING.  DVDtalk.com has written a review for the film: http://www.dvdtalk.com/reviews/read.php?ID=29865&___rd=1<BR>
Death Wish - Good movie.   Apparently Stallone will be remaking it (directing/starring) after Rambo hits theaters.<BR>
Austin Powers: International man of Mystery (I think thats the title) - I hated the third, loved the first and the second was decent.<BR>
Monster Squad - I didn't grow up with this film like many people did, but I've seen it a few times and bought it at circuit city for five bucks.  The special edition has a good documentary.  This film was co-written by Shane "Lethal Weapon" Black.<BR>
Outbreak - A used DVD store had this movie for 99 cents, since it was in a CD case.  I'd seen it before and was unimpressed.  It's decent...whatever.  Good actors.  That's about it.<BR>

Fracture

Anthony Hopkins stars in this legal thriller as Ted Crawford, a man who allegedly attempted to murder his wife and is now locked in a battle of wits with an assistant district attorney, Willy Beachum (Ryan Gosling). The D.A.'s convinced Crawford has blood on his hands, but Crawford is freed on a technicality, sending Beachum on an obsessive mission to prove Crawford's guilt -- even if he has to bend the law to make his case.

Shrek 3 - I didn't like the second one and I liked this one even less.  Rupert Everett was good as Prince Charming, and the Gingerbreadman's life flashing before his eyes was pretty funny, the rest was pretty awful.

Evan Almighty - I was pleasantly surprised, considering I'd read quite a lot of negative things about it.  I think having two of my favourite TV people in it helped - Lauren Graham and Steve Carell - and I can buy Morgan Freeman as God.

High Road to China - A sub-par cash-in on Raiders of the Lost Ark, this stars Tom Selleck as a 1920s pilot who helps a spoiled socialite find her father before her inheiritance is lost.  Oddly, depsite not liking almost everything Selleck has been in, I still quite like him.

Oh, and a word about Pink Flamingos: Everybody should see at least one of John Waters' early films.  Completely unclassifiable.

Was "Go" any good?

yes, but then again I did a lot of ":)" back in the day so I feel a bit biased to it

Compound

Daywatch - Decent film although I wonder if I hadn't seen Nightwatch if I would have understood what the heck was going on. Odd ending.

Side note, maybe I've been watching SCTV too much, but throughout the movie, the actor who dubbed Anton's  (the main character) lines sounded almost exactly like Joe Flaherty to me. I don't think that's actually the case, but it was a bit bothersome to me.

Junkyard

The Host-
Korean film about a family trying to save the youngest of their clan from a giant fish monster thing.
