Lucky 17! October Horror Movie a Day 2026! It Refuses to Die!

You know, I keeping coming back here, at least once a year, because I keep telling myself I will revive One Man Band and continue that (which I do honestly want to do; it's mostly time being pulled in other directions), but even though I look on the forum and I see last year's Horror Movie a Day is about two or three posts down, it seems like I should just move the whole thing to Substack.

But I still have fond memories of this place, and until it goes down, I'm still posting my lists...however, I am doing the whole shebang, reviews and all, on Substack yet again this year, and I invite you all to come take a look at it (It's called Not Necessarily Deep Thoughts, and without incurring any link wrath stuff, it's at sethjpaul.substack.com, and I do more than just October Movie stuff).

Here's the cut and paste of the rules and regulations, such as they are:
1. 31 movies, 31 days.
2. Anything that has horror elements counts, even if it is a comedy.  Saying something is "so bad, it's scary" with no actual horror content doesn't count.
3. Individual entries in a series each count.  If you wanted to do nothing but watch all the Saws, Nightmares on Elm Street, or Fridays the 13th, you can do it, but it might get a little boring.
4. Watching movies ahead of time does not count, but make-up days are acceptable.
5. Riffed movies are not only acceptable, they are encouraged.
6. TV Specials also count as a film, so if you like Charlie Brown, you're in good company.
