Maybe I'm just unusually apathetic.

Did anyone else notice that there were an unusual amount of people screaming at the top of their lungs directly into the camera in that movie, or am I just looking for things to pick at now?

last movie i watched was spirited away, and it was bad ass, again.  :)

Great, just reading that is going to lead to a Miazaki-thon this weekend.   ;D

Harvey, not as funny as I had been led to believe.

Junkyard

WHAT??!!

Well, as straight funny, I suppose it's not a barrel of laughs, but as a whole, it's still in my top 3.

Bloodrayne. It seems Uwe Boll has gotten slightly better and moved out of so-bad-it's-funny right into just-plain-bad.

Just watched 28 Weeks Later.  Pretty standard zombie fare, but I didn't feel like it had the biting social commentary the first one had.  This one was more of just a straight up action-horror ride.  Exciting on a visceral level, but otherwise pretty forgettable.

I mean there's a few out there that might have some sort of secondary artistic impact.

Dim of the Yard

The last full-length movie that I watched was Glen or Glenda.  (I've seen bits and pieces of other movies, but Glen or Glenda was the last movie I sat all the way through.  It was meant to be background noise for my studying of my O-Chem test.  It sucked as background noise.

Background noise isn't supposed to scare the living crap out of you with how inept they are.  After a while, I stopped caring about my O-Chem and watched the movie just fold in on itself and eventually jut implode.  Bela Lugosi as some kind of bizarre "scientist/puppet master" pulling the strings of buffalo... half the movie was stock footage... talking machines... what the hell?  What the bloody hell?

the long undertow

The Serpent and the Rainbow.  Pretty decent until the finale.

Go read the book. Oh god the book is great, the film is exactly as you say. Craven can't help himself I think.

Does porn count?

Sure, why not?

I recently bought this all girl dvd and as I'm watching it i realize that i have a lot of the same scenes on other dvds that I've boughten years ago.
which leads me to believe that the porn industry has ceased to be, and I am forced to watch porn from the 70's 80's & 90's.

While I'm on the subject of porn, am i the only one who thinks that porn from the 70's-90's was directed and produced by retarded coked up bottle nosed dolphins?
