I hate to tell you this now, but if you waited till Monday or Tuesday you could have got  this processor. Nice upgrade though.

Micro Center had that one for $30 less through Wednesday. Oh well.

Well, after further research, that one has half the cache of the one I just bought so I'd say no.
I'll stick with the one I bought for the extra $60 ($90).

Mine will outperform it 9 times out of 10 just because of that.

9 times out of 10, you won't need that much processor.

It's not the size that matters boys, it's how you use it :)
mike5150 how tall are you?.....in gallons?

Yeah, but it takes a long time to apply a filter in Photoshop with a 500mhz single-core processor.

(geeks are laughing right now...)

What? yours = 4MB L2 cache, the new one = 6MB L2 cache, how is that half? I'm gonna wait for the quadcore's that come out this spring, my recording setup could use a major upgrade because it keeps crashing on me with an older dualcore processor. I'm looking to buy the Q9450 (2.66 Ghz, 12MB Cache) - $349, then I shall proceed to rock a llamas ass.

Well, ok.. not literally.. The 4MB is shared on mine, and the 6MB  on that one is not

Nice, but I won't be impressed until you have something like this. They did get it wrong though, it's a retro-styled liquid cooling system and doesn't have anything to do with beer or Russia. A polish guy made it, It looks cool as hell though.

Yeah True.. I'm working on a way to rig a bottle of Tequila to it not just to fill shot glasses when needed, but for 'Liquid Cooling' as well :P
Kinda like shooting Nitrous to a dragster 8)
