RiffTrax parties

Hey gang!  I've been lurking here since the board opened up and I've decided it's about time to break the silence.

I'm just curious how many other people have RiffTrax viewing parties/gatherings on a regular basis.  I have about four or five long-time MSTie friends who've been coming over to my place (in Hollywood, CA) about once a week to enjoy the lastest RiffTrax selection, depending on the release schedule.  We've been having a great time and we all agree that the riffs have only been getting funnier!

The only RiffTrax I've watched by myself was X-Men, because my friends are big fans of that movie (gotta admit, it's the only one so far that I owned on DVD prior to the riffing) and weren't too keen on having it mocked.

Yeah I too have little rifftrax parties with some friends of mine, we usually order pizza and drink beer or soda.
Then we put the dvd in the player and watch it. It's alot of fun with a group of people thats for sure...yeah.

Although I brought this up in a previous topic myself,

I have had 2 big Rifftrax Moviewatching Events so far (only two, because the group of friends I watch them with live all over the Dallas/Ft. Worth area), and they were both big successes!

For the last one, we watched Top Gun, and I went as far as to put pictures of F-14s and various Flight Deck happenings all over the walls, and had my DVD cover on display.

It is so much fun to experience these riffs for the first time with your friends.

I highly recommend it!

I previewed Fifth Element to a group of friends.  Pretty much all of them were fans of the movie.  We very much laughed our asses off.

I have found it better to keep the guests to about three or four people. Any more and the expierence is kinda cramped....

Had a huge get-together (10+ people) last night to watch the Phantom Menace RiffTrax.  Everyone loved it.  It was pretty much non-stop laughter and self-pity for us lifelong Star Wars fans.

The Dallas/Fort Worth FanForce Star Wars group got together on Saturday to watch the Phantom Menace Riff.

We are obviously huge Star Wars fans, and we all have things about the movies we like, which might not be the same as everyone else, but rest assured we all were laughing our butts off!

One of our members is a guy named Mitchell, and lemme tell 'ya, we were on our feet every time "Mitchell, South Dakota" was mentioned! Mitch's brother was about to fall out of his chair with all those Mitchell references. Thanks Kevin!!!!!

Who knows, we might even take a trip out to Mitchell, South Dakota to see what all the fuss is about! hehe

Yes.  The only thing worse than South Dakota is North Dakota.  If anyone holds you up at gunpoint and forces you to go to one of the Dakotas, pick none of them.  Death is the only reasonable choice.
