well we'd have to say most of them are good to begin with first of all....
Stand by for action!

Who directed the (supposed) Wonder Woman movie with Cathy Lee Crosby?

Yeah, I agree with Hebs. Joel Schumacher REALLY had no clue:

A) What was interesting about Batman as a character

and

B) What worked about the first two movies (yes, they HAD camp factor, but it wasn't the driving element behind them).

There was too much nipple - not enough heart.

:D  :D

This is possibly the best emotional synopsis of a Batman movie I have ever seen. Well done!

You could possibly say that about Batman Begins - except the nipples were on Katie Holmes instead of the Batman armor.

And Michael Caine's never given a bad performance - not even in Jaws 4.

Isn't that the truth, though?  He is so awesome.

He elevates every scene he's in....no matter how bad the writing.

Phantom of Krankor

I'd have to go with Joel Schumaker. Its really a shame because the Tim Burton movies were really pretty good flicks and they could've made a decent franchise if he stayed. Beleive it or not, I'm one of the few who thinks that Batman Forever is worse than Batman and Robin. Sure, I think Batman and Robin is a pretty bad piece of trash, but at least it didn't have Tommy Lee Jones and Jim Carrey wearing a spandex dancing around like hyperactive four year olds.
I am Ambassador Phantom, from the planet Krankor! I am rapidly approaching your planet... in the warship, which you have just seen. I will arrive tomorrow night at precisely eight o'clock. At that time I shall make my wishes known to you. You will obey them... or die! HA! HA! HA! HA! HA! HA! HA!

Raven

I thought Jones and Carrey were great for the roles.  I didn't mind Forever that much but you could see where the series was headed.  Schumacher gets my vote, and if I find out it was his idea to cast George Clooney in the fourth one, I'm gonna find him and punch him straight in the face.

Actually, at the time that film was conceived, the DC Comics version of Wonder Woman had no costume, and no powers:

Besides, there is some great cheesy dialog in that thing:

Lead Henchguy: Make love to me.
Wonder Woman: Why?
LH: Because you're the most beautiful woman I've ever seen.
WW: No; I meant, why should I?

George Clooney has to be the worst actor to ever portray Batman. He also (while on the press junket) completely underminded Bruce Wayne's motives for becoming Batman in the first place. Basically, Clooney said that Bruce Wayne shouldn't spend his life being depressed over the murders of his parents. Instead, Bruce should look at the more materialistic things surrounding his life like his "cool cars and gadgets" and hot women.

Well, that might help subdue those psychotic tendencies of his. Anyway, yes Clooney was completely wrong for Bruce Wayne, but blaming him for Batman & Robin would be like blaming Archduke Ferdinand for World War I.

Are we sure that he was saying that seriously?  That he wasn't being quoted out of context?

Clooney rattles cages in the press establishment - either because of his political views or his speaking out about tabloid journalism....

They might have a motive.

I happen to like Clooney a lot - he's a stand up guy, a good actor, and Good Night and Good Luck was one of the best movies I'd seen in a long time.  He just is.. himself.  And not a good pick for Batman.   But I don't think Batman should be a playboy - it wouldn't be the same if he morphed into James Bond.

Schumacker based his movies on the tv show from the 60's, and not on the graphic novel.  That's the problem.
