While we're on the subject of the obvious names...

if you've seen one of those really obscure MSTs called "Mitchell" you might recognize it :P

Yeah, and speaking of 'Mitchell' and 'obvious'...  :)

Plastic Self-Cleaning Duck

Mine is from the MST3K episode Space Travelers....

Crow says : "Here at Philips Petroleum, we've found ways to replace the environment. Take for example these plastic, self-cleaning ducks... "

I've just always liked the sound of it.

We used to watch Freaks a lot and could never remember Prince Randian's name:

"Anything you can do with your eyebrow?"

Mine is from the name of the boat in the short Buster Keaton film, um, "The Boat". However it's a term that's developed for fanatics of Keaton, which I definitely am :)

Hank_Peters

I got mine from the "Italian Grocer" from the episode Zombie Nightmare.

RobtheBarbarian

So that's where it's from.  ;D

"You got-ta pay for-a the provolone..."

Plastic Self-Cleaning Duck

"You cut-a the hair, you lose-a the strength...."

mine was an attempt to think of something clever.  ive kept it for a while.  it was kinda supposed to be based on the blank for dummies books.  ive always thought it would be a cool book title.

Woohoo!  High five to you!

Hebs is well - not that imaginative :)  My boyfriend used to call me that when we were just friends because I really hated being called "Ronnie"

Tripe

My name was born in frustration with another forum's naming rules and tricksie servers.

First the rules stated that there couldn't be any "fanboy names" not sure what that meant exactly but everything I tried got rejected so I went with a reference to this dog

His name is Gnasher and he's the pet of the British Dennis the Menace. He's a Wire Haired Abyssinian Tripe Hound.

So I put in TripeHound and it was accepted. So far so good.

Until it came time to log in. Even though I'd confirmed the name, the log in screen wouldn't accept my sign in so I tried to set up the name again. It didn't work because the username was already in existence (I think Kafka programmed the forms at that site).

So i thought "Bugger this I'll have one last go" and I simply added Redux to the name because this was a rehash of the name that worked previously.

And that was the name I was stuck with. Though actually I really rather like it, it sounds sort of significant while being mostly meaningless which is always a good thing.

BathTub

Huh, I had always read it as triple.

Junkyard

I was just about to point that out. That's hilarious.
