Not being rude or anything, but...
Just out of curiosity, Isn't 'Tripe' another word for Hog Intestines ???

Huh, I had always read it as triple.

Me too!

"How do they expect us to swallow this tripe?"
"And on your way out, try some complimentary tripe!"

How can we see something every day and never actually read it?

Fascinating, were I still doing my A Level in psychology I could write a nice little paper about visual perception.

Er yes, sort of, hog intestines would be chitlings, Beef stomach linings would be tripe. Actually Tripe is quite nice (as are chitlings) but you wouldn't want to eat it regularly.

Except in the north of England people do and so Tripe is a comedy reference in England. Gnasher's breed is a nice bit of stupid humor.

Though if you can face giving it to your dogs tripe is actually quite good for them.

Huh! Go Figure!
I thought so.. A hidden subliminal message in a name as well!
COOL!

I read something about that.  That a lot of people, when they read words, can sometimes make assumptions on the word they're looking at just by reading the first two and last two letters of a word, regardless of what's in the middle of the word.  I'm not sure if entirely pans out, but I always read it as Tripe.  Maybe because I'm more familiar with the word than you lot  ;D

Tripe

Yes see two uprights and a cross bar can be read as an A or an H depenting on the letters either side of it.

See I'd assume you'd know who Gnasher was. Is The Beano still published?

BathTub

Yeah I know who Gnasher is, but I'm still in the commonwealth.

Pass.  I was a big fan of The Bash Street Kids when I was a kid though.  And Desperate Dan was pretty neat.

Tripe

I always liked Roger the Dodger best of all frankly

Moose

Yeah, The Beano's still around.
Though I haven't read it in about 15 years, myself.

As for my name...

Moose has been my real-life nickname for years. Everybody calls me Moose. (No Swing Parade gags!)
Nobody I know these days was around when it started, so they don't know why, and I've all but forgotten.

Anyway, back when I was 13ish when I signed up to my first online community the name Moose was already taken.
The "your name is taken" screen suggested Moose22, and I kinda liked it, so I took it.

Then, not long after, I forgot my password.
Seeing as Moose22 was already taken (by me) I became MightyMoose22, and it kinda stuck.

Not very interesting, but at least it's in no way original.

I noticed that it was "tripe" a while back, but that's because I still have my anal editor tendencies from my newspaper days.

By which I mean that I'm anal and an editor, not that I edit anuses.

Although if I did edit anuses, I have a pretty good idea of where I would start.
