Obviously a big fan of the show...

But there was a quote in there from Mike about them being able to make more of these.   Maybe they do plan on it..........

Wow, future Film Crew and future Rifftrax, that would be nice.

Yeah, No Kidding!!
I think we could keep them gangfully employed for sure if they do that!

IGN interview with Mike Nelson

sadly no mention of rifftrax...

IGN DVD did a top ten DVD commentaries list about a week ago and didn't include any of Mike's Legend releases... they need to re-due that crappy list (also, road house was number 10... that hack Kevin Smith's roadhouse commentary) IGN DVD sucks.

I'm not going to dig up the references... but I stumbled across articles somewhere online back when this movie was announced as a "Film Crew" venture... I'm sure it's easily googled if you have the inkling... anyways... If I recall correctly....

The Rue McClanahan footage for this movie was filmed by an indepedant producer sometime in the early 60's (I thought I saw 1963 or 64, but it could have been 1961). The original title escapes me, but it was not "Hollywood After Dark". This footage was re-edited with some strip tease/nudity scenes years later by some other company and theatrically released in 1968 as "Hollywood After Dark".

So while technically incorrect for the 'release' dates, he could very well be correct considering production dates... at least there is a lot of ambiguity involved in the specifics of this one as far as chronology.

the long undertow

They say 1962 in the Film Crew intro.

FYI: Walk The Angry Beach and later, The Unholy Choice. This film was actually released around 1968. The confusion comes from Rue McClanahan's other film, which is often packaged as a double bill... called The Rotten Apple aka Five Minutes to Love, which was made around 1961 and probably released a few years later.

Yeah I watched it this morning on Netflix streaming.  It's great cuz you can watch it again and again until you use up your minutes of allowed viewing.
