I logged into Netlfix tonight to reorder my queue and I saw a message on my main page that read something like:

"We have a hidden gem for you, since you liked (it it listed various MST3K DVDs), we feel you will like "Film Crew: Hollywood After Dark (2007)"".

How cool is that?

And my love affair with Netflix continues    ;D

Netflix is another reason people from the Middle East hate Americans... you get all the good toys. ;)

Us poor Canadians just have zip.ca or Roger's Video Direct. Twice the price, half the selection. Plus shipping fees on all but 1 plan! :P

I got the same recommendation on Netflix because I have a lot of MST3K DVD's in my queue. Cool thing is that it's an indication of which movie The Film Crew is going to release first even though you can still vote the movies on http://www.filmcrewonline.com/
    I know I'm going to buy a copy as soon as it becomes available  :) :) :) :) :) :)

Yeah they really need to update that site since they have already announced all the street dates for all 4 releases.

Netflix is the best and another reason I'm happy I don't live in England cause apparently the similar service there is horrible.

I watch those ads for the blockbuster on-line rentals and think "sure I bet blockbusters is so superior to Netflix, if I want multiple copies of Along came Polly but if I want actual good and obscure movies I think I'll stick with Netflix thankyouverymuch.

I use LOVEFiLM, and they're pretty good.  I don't really rent recent movies though, so I'm not sure how quickly customers get those.

The compliant I've heard is that they send things to you randomly, not in the order you want them.

Yay for Netflix...

I'll probably buy all the FilmCrew stuff anyways... but the "try before you buy" option is always nice to have available...

Mr.Nobody

Sweet.  It had crossed my mind to look at some point.  Good to know Netflix is going to carry these.
I've sort of fused Flashdance with MC Hammer shit.

Bah... The plan is to let it rot away online with no updates what-so-ever like www.michaeljnelson.com
In fact, i'm almost ready to bet that his MySpace page will start gathering cobwebs soon~

Maybe if you let Mike out of those chains in your basement once in a while, he might be able to update that stuff more often.

Ah, my entire rental list is set to same priority, so I wouldn't know anything about that.   :)

Netflix is far superior.  I like weird stuff, and netflix always has what I want or is getting it.

I tried blockbuster for that introductory period, and it took an extra day to get my movies.  Also I got the wrong Star Trek episode two times in a row.  That's when I cancelled it.

Plus I have a long-standing issue with Blockbuster over their late fees charges.  I think I owed 99 cents in late fees, and every year they would send me a post card at Christmas time telling me about my late fee and wishing me a happy holidays.

As a side note, DVD Planet notified me earlier today that my copy of the first Film Crew DVD has shipped. Woot. It shipped media mail, so I won't see it for a while, but it is still enroute.

eh? you sure? That's like a month early.
