2008 Unofficial Rifftrax Meet-Up Thread!

Here's what's been planned so far:

Place:  Elephant & Castle
              Holiday Inn on the Bay
              1355 North Harbor Drive
              San Diego, CA 92101
Day: Sunday, July 27th, 2008.
Time: 1:00 PM

If any of you can't make it on Sunday but will be in San Diego for the Con earlier and would like to meet-up, let me know.  I'm sure we could get a group of us to get together and grab a bite to eat somewhere.

This sounds great to me. Comic-con is the only weekend I'm likely to be in the neighborhood, or even on the West Coast (I live in New York).

Keep in mind also that we are going to try our hardest to get on a panel at next year's Con. (We're going to be there this year, mainly just to promote RiffTrax - nothing official like a Q&A panel or anything). Hopefully, if we do get into it in an official capacity next year, this unofficial meetup won't conflict with any scheduled RiffCon time

Sounds like a plan, James.  If I'm still alive a year and a month hence, I'll be there with bells on.

Also, I've lived in S.D. for almost two decades, so I'd be happy to offer whatever help I can with regard to finding places to grill and such.

No - thats what I meant by "unable to be there this year in an official capacity." We might be hanging around other peoples' booths, I know MIke has plans to be at the Film Crew table on Saturday afternoon (but they are telling people to NOT come on saturday because it's too crowded - wth?).. All I can say is, in most likelihood, one of us from the offices will be there each day to pass out stuff with the RiffTrax brand on it.

Next year, though.... domination!

Huh.  3000 miles away from my current residence... very short on funds at the moment... But it's Rifftrax.

I'd better start saving.  If I can manage it, I will most certainly go.  I definitely want to go, but it's a matter of seeing if this poor college student ca nscrounge up the money to be able to go.  Put me on the "maybe" list, then.  (In other words, no definitive answers for you!)
