Dont mean to open a can of worms. And I dearly love MST3K. Kind of based the past decade of my life around it. But here goes, do you think because of the format of RT that it has less 'replayability' than MST3K. Perhaps because it is all audio or that there are no 'host segments' something just doesn't have me re-viewing RT as much as MST3K. It certainly could be me and my Video orientation. Or it could be that I have stopped drinking myself to sleep. Or it could all be a dream of a basset hound...

Just a thought. Ham.

Ya know... this had crossed my mind back when The Fifth Element was first released... but as time passed, it turns out i've watched Cocktails around 11 times.

Plus, i've brought Road House with me to put on while me and my friends pre-game before hitting the bars.

So, at this point i'm not worried about it.

I've watched "The Fifth Element", "Star Trek V", and "Road House", about 10 times each, many with friends and I fall down laughing every time.  The others I am saving for several future viewings, so, no, I don't have any problems with replayability, myself.

As they say, your mileage may vary.
Hi!  I'm Randy and I'm a Riffaholic...

I watched each of them many many times!

I've watched Star Trek V like 4 times now...

X-Men, twice.

Only one repeated for me yet was Roadhouse. I should point out that it is from time contraints more than anything else. I need more hours in the day!
Grapes? I hate grapes, I can't stand grapes. I loathe grapes. All kinds of grapes. I hate green grapes and I hate purple grapes. I hate grapes with seeds, I hate grapes without seeds. I hate them peeled and nonpeeled. I hate them in bunches, one at a time and in small groups of twos and threes.

I think "Replayability" is fine in the content department, especially with a group of friends, but the logistical department is something of a pain. Sure, you could just use a computer to play both back at the same time, but I like it better when it's on my main home theater system. Problem is, I have to set up an extra source to play the file.

Other than that, these are gems that are to be enjoyed over and over again.

Which is exactly why I re-author the DVDs to include the Rifftrax. Never have to worry about syncing or setting up extra equipment.

I don't mean to come off as harsh here, but TEN TIMES?! I mean, I can't even understand why anyone has re-watched any of these, even once. Yes, they're great and funny, but man... give it some time. It'll probably be at least a year until I have the urge to re-watch one of these with RiffTrax.

sarcasm_made_Easy

im thinking MAYBE rewatching one soon.

I have made friends watch them, and my wife, plus I make the DVDs so it is easy to pop it in without having to sync etc.

I've watched Road House about 4 times, Cocktail twice, Fifth Element I'm part way through the second time.  The Matrix once so far.  (I do DVD reauthoring which takes up alot of time.)  And for some reason helping with the baby is higher on my priorities than watching/reauthoring rifftrax.  (Which explains why I keep vanishing for weeks at a time.)

I've bought the rest of the Rifftrax, I just haven't gotten around to them yet.

On a good note, my wife doesn't really care for most MST3K episodes (because the movies are so bad), but she will suffer through them if I watch them.  But she really loves Rifftrax.  Her favorite line so far is the "Ha Ha I'm Patrick Swayze!" in Road House.

For $3 who cares if you replay them?

I'd rather have new ones than replay the old ones. I'd have rather had new mst3k than the DVDs too but that's not really an option anymore.
mike5150 how tall are you?.....in gallons?

gammer

I make a point of watching them twice (with 5th Element as an exception,I only watched it once).

I have to problem watching any of them again if need be.

Am I the only geek who actually listens to Rifftrax on their own without the movie?  I have a 45-minute commute to work and I've already listened to all the decent audiobooks at the library (they're too expensive to buy often).  I've watched all the Rifftrax movies once, and listened to each Rifftrax on its own at least twice.
