There's a comedy & film fest in October...  Any chance of getting a live event in Boston?

Just throwing that out there on behalf of all of us out East who can't get to the other side of the country.

You should try contacting the Boston Comedy Festival and tell them you want a Rifftrax live show.

Generally speaking from past promotion experience is that you have to get the local club/promoter to bring the talent/act/event to town.  Start pestering the local clubs/theaters or find out who is responsible for booking at the venues and pester them. Print up articles or write ups of past shows to educate anyone that is unintiated.

Yep, as has been said before, the reason there have been these two in the Bay Area is because the Sketch Fest is bringing them in, doing the work to get them there, so it's not just an issue of telling the guys at legend you like to see rifftrax live in your area, as getting someone to bring them there.

Yeah, I sent the people running the festival an email begging them to get something going.

Maybe if some other East Coast people join in on the cry for live riffing?

(They also have a myspace for the fest.  Who doesnt have one nowadays?  http://www.myspace.com/bostoncomedyfestival
