I would presume Will's dad would step up, take over and let his son go have some sex.

Davy Jones wasn't ferrying the dead...I think...that's why they were all ending up in little boats in Davy Jones' locker...that's how I interpreted it...not sure who the ghostly people under the water were supposed to be though.

I REALLY wanted to see what would happene if they dropped a cannonball on one of em =)

Well, I saw it Saturday and it was silly.  Not a bad twist ending, but the screenwriter should be arrested.  Isn't being a lazy hack a crime?

Hmmmm, much like Pumaman, I sense danger here......

That movie has to be the worst production movie I have ever seen... I definitely want to riff that movie for sure!

I hope mike does one, you can riff movies that mike and his crew have riffed, correct?

Nunyerbiz

Well... the screenwriter may or may not be a hack... but you can't call him lazy. That damn thing had more characters and subplots and well... just lots of everything. I didn't think it was a bad movie... but summer blockbusters are supposed to be like roller coasters. They should be a hell of a fun ride, yet pull back into the station and let you off before you start getting whoozy. The last two "Pirates" movies felt like the carney working the controls passed out in a Popov stupor before he hit the "halt ride" button.

Well, here's why I call him lazy:

Lazy, setting up a senario and then not bothering to carry it through.

I could go on, the movie is very silly (not a compliment BTW), but Meh.

In many historical battles, an army would disband/retreat if you killed the leader.  I think the fact that there was a 90 foot tall woman, crazy whirl-pool thing and a squid-faced guy walking about would be enough to get most people to abandon the fight.

How is it lazy setting up a scenario and then not bothering to carry it through? That's like saying someone who set-up 5000 dominoes then didn't bother to knock them over is lazy...they did a lot of work..

Was it the most satisfying ending ever?  nope...is that the screenwriters fault...you don't know..for all you know some producer could have said

Mr. Moneybags - "at the end have them blow up one ship and everyone run away"
Screenwriters - "But that doesn't make any sense, why wou-"
Mr. Moneybags - "Do IT!"

J-Proof

haha - funny example, Douglin

I maintain, however, that the ending was pretty flippin' awesome!

I liked it too, although I thought it could have been a bit better, a simple thing/fx to add would have been Calypso helping the pirates a bit, they could have pledged to defend her seas or something, and it might have been nice if the Pearl and Dutchman as they were coming towards the bad guy's boat, were picked up on the top of some giant 100ft wave that broke over Beckett's boat sweeping half the people overboard, and when the water cleared just as he stood up the two ships were suddenly on either side of the boat and blasted it to hell.

I thought she did sorta add her two cents to the fight with the maelstrom....but your idea was pretty badass as well =)

I, for one, woulda liked the Kraken to have shown up at the very end =(
Poor beastie! Laid to rest in a sandy grave =(
