16th October Horror Movie a Day! Why do I keep doing this?!?

[SJP]

Yes, I'm back for my yearly check-in to the Rifftrax forum, because apparently I have a severe need to keep doing something fun yet exhausting while life continues to throw curveball after curveball!

The rules are the same as previous years.  Short, short version:
1. 31 movies, 31 days.
2. Anything that has horror elements counts, even if it is a comedy.  Saying something is "so bad, it's scary" with no actual horror content doesn't count.
3. Individual entries in a series each count.  If you wanted to do nothing but watch all the Saws, Nightmares on Elm Street, or Fridays the 13th, you can do it, but it might get a little boring.
4. Watching movies ahead of time does not count, but make-up days are acceptable.
5. Riffed movies are not only acceptable, they are encouraged.
6. TV Specials also count as a film, so if you like Charlie Brown, you're in good company.

I'll probably be posting reviews up on my Substack...I haven't touched it in a good long while, but I think that's where I try to do most of my writing these days.  To avoid any kind of link-related shenanigans, I'll just post the url, but you'll have to move it yourself...no attempts to be sneaky here with any kind of entrapment!

Outside of posting a daily review of my movies, I also am writing a serial novel, hawking my (currently two) books, writing about games and silly things about life in general, and posting a short story or two, and I'm going to start adding audio narration and hopefully getting my riffing project back underway.

And yes, I know Substack is where old fired journalists go to pasture, but hey, I'm having fun in the meantime!
