I'll Be Seeing You

Feature film · 2023

It's a stopped-roller-coaster-of-a-ride that makes absolutely no sense as a woman unravels her father’s mysterious death.

With Bridget Nelson, Mary Jo Pehl

Based on the Mary Higgins Clark novel of the same name and bearing .000001% resemblance, a woman is asked to identify a dead body and discovers it's her exact double.

From there it's a half-thrill-an-hour, stopped-roller-coaster of a ride that makes absolutely no sense as she unravels her father's mysterious death - and tries to avoid her own. In other words, standard Mary Higgins Clark.

We really enjoyed this one. MHC is my wife's favourite category of movie that MJ&B riff, and the jokes were really solid in this one. Great stuff

I've stayed away from all of these because of MHC genre, but I'd be willing to give one a try. Do you and your wife have a recommendation on which is the best to start with?

One thing that's kind of funny about them is how much they hit the same sort of plot points, but it also makes them a little hard to remember exactly which is which - I do think this was one of the best though.

We quite enjoyed the very barely-Christmas -themed He Sees You When You're Sleeping.

But we love MJ&B and especially when they are paired with TV movies like these.
