Yep. This was supposed to be a replacement DVD for the used one they sent me. ( Again. ) Never mind it was supposed to have been shipped Monday.
They changed that from a Tuesday delivery to a Saturday delivery, ten updated that to a Sunday(?) delivery.  But what is more fascinating is watching the tracking.  Because they are so intent on not delivering it until Sunday,  they have been  shipping it back and fourth between Amazon facilities. I wonder how much this is costing them in shipping.  And they said the AI programs running the shipping could do the job better than the recently laid off humans could.
PS
Amazon also apparently fired their entire human support staff. This time I could not get anyone on the phone, because they no longer have the links for them to call you back unless you contact their grocery division ( who will only help you with grocery complaints ) and all their old phone numbers don't work.  So I had no choice but to use the less than satisfactory automated help on the website. The up side is that the automated help arranged an exchange immediately, as apposed to spending 15 minutes trying to explain to someone in India why I should not bother to put a used and scratched DVD into my machine to see if it works when I specifically paid for a new copy, or spend another ten minutes while they put me on hold to check god knows what. The down side is that, as always, they do not list every complaint, making some returns impossible without a restocking fee.

I think many companies have canned their customer support departments. Gave up trying to get help from H&R block after a week of trying - spent 4 hours over a couple of days on hold. Have been using the H&R block software to do my taxes for probably 10 years and this year's version isn't calculating state deductions correctly. Had to do state manually and mail my forms.
