Been a fun start to the season with lots of upsets. But college football harder to predict than ever thanks to the wacky transfer portal and allowing players to get paid endorsements.
-Glad Notre Dame is officially out of National Championship already.
-Find Wisconsin football boring, but been here long enough that I follow them. Typical Wisconsin year in that they lost to a team where they were heavily favored. Will likely win a bunch of games now before losing another "guaranteed" win late in the season.
-For Nebraska fans sake, I hope they don't hire Urban Meyer. As someone who hates Urban Meyer, I hope they do because I think it would be a disaster as all of his successes have been at programs that already had everything needed in place when he came in and that ain't Nebraska right now.
-Think my Arkansas team is way over rated at #10 this week - they are much improved and it's nice to be a fan of a team that is no longer the laughing stock they were less than 2 years ago, but not sure they are worthy of the top ten just yet. Hope I'm wrong.

Sure as hell looked like my top 10 Arkansas team was going to lose to a division 2 team tonight (or whatever it is that they call what used to be called NCAA divsion 2 teams now). They pulled it out and won in the end, but defintely didn't look like a top 10 team. Next 2 weeks against Texas A&M and then Alabama might be ugly.

Didn't see the Wisconsin firing coming. Guess losing to former coach was the final straw.

Arkansa worse than I even feared. 3 game losing streak. First loss should have been a win - blew game by making way too many mistakes. Loss to Alabama was predictable. Big contributer to loss yesterday was tons of injured starters (including starting QB and entire secondary) and not having a very deep roster. So here's hoping they can somehow pull out 3 more wins and make a low tier bowl game.

RIP Mississippi State coach Mike Leach. Died unexpectedly from a heart attack at 61.

Thanks to the 4 team playoff and transfer portal, I'm less excited about bowl season than any time in past as all but the playoff games are now just glorified practice games. Wish they'd just go ahead and extend the playoffs to 16 teams already.
