My favorite of the season as of right now. Emily is perfect. Didn't find New Crow's voice as annoying this time, so improvement there. Tom's song was brilliant. Actually all the Emily Bots skits were good to great. The riffs were well done and fit in.

Cons. Kinga and Max just don't do it for me. I think part of it is since it's all blue screened they feel like they are just standing there. Way too much inactivity. Contrast this to Frank And Forrester moving around in Deep 13, or Pearl and Company going from planet to planet and even the Castle. It's sterile and dull. No interaction with anything. If they had been cut, I wouldn't have missed a thing.

But this was the best part, and weird for me: I legit enjoyed the movie. Sure, it's low budget. But Jeff and Yvette were actually quite good as the leads. The movie was coherent and well paced, and the story unfolded very well. Sure, Joe Estevez could have made it better (but Joe adds something to every production he's in), and I wouldn't call it 'good', but it's not bad either. I actually found myself watching the movie and the riffs kind of took a backseat to what was happening on screen. A could have watched this on its own and been fine with it.

Weird fact: While this was a Dr. Strange rip off since they lost the rights, there was an official Dr. Strange movie in the 70's (and I vaguely remember watching it when it aired, since I am old.) That makes this a ripoff reboot rather than a straight rip off.

We loved it. This season has been fantastic. I am constantly in awe we still have this show.
FINE

The screenwriter actually debunked that story in the aftershow.  If anything, while it was a knockoff, it didn't start off as an attempt at a licensed Doctor Strange movie.

The main problem with the film is that it kinda fell apart at the end.  Did anything actually get resolved?

Magic Mammoth impaled the bad guy and his lackeys lost their powers as a result. It's kind of anti-climactic, except that it's a reanimated mammoth fossil that does the job.

Movie didn't do much for me. Way too much time spent in an apartment and ending was indeed anticlimactic. But do still like Emily and this cast more than the Jonah cast.
