Haven't updated any personal PCs to 11, but new work.laptop came with it. Since it's a work laptop and has some IT security restrictions on it (and because I work at home now and if I want to do anything personal I can just use my personal laptop next to the work laptop), I haven't tried to do anything fun on it. From a work perspective, stuff just in different places and everything looks a bit more Apple-ish.

Just need to know if I can break it! (Windows 11, not your work laptop.)

Decided to go ahead and update my cheap HTPC to windows 11 because.. I like pain I guess.
It meets all the minimum specs except secure boot. UEFI bios there, Windows SSD correctly partioned, and TPM all check, but no option in bios to turn secure boot off or on and no bios update available. Regedit hack didn't work and other tricks to try and force an upgrade were a no go. Clean install worked by using rufus and setting up the boot USB to bypass the secure boot check.

Why not...bring on more deep hurting.
Updated my Surface Pro 4 to Windows 11.
Microsoft product, but not officially supported in 11 due to cpu. Meets all other required specs. Was able to force an upgrade vs a clean install using same Rufus created Windows 11 installation USB that I used to do the clean install on my HTPC.
Still not big on 11 over 10 overall, but kind of wanted to see if I was going to need to budget for a new HTPC and/or a cheap home office laptop when support for 10 ends - Surface Pro 4 and HTPC both used primarily to stream video and play stored media files, so nothing taxing. Figured I'd just revert to 10 if things in 11 didn't work well. So far things working on both and annoyances of Windows 11 are minimal due to what these 2 PCs are used for.
HTPC didn't have sound and wasn't recognizing the microSD card slot at first after clean 11 install, but driver updates fixed.
Surface Pro 4 battery wasn't charging past 33% in 10 - issue I've had at times since getting it that always came down to a bad Microsoft battery driver update - seems to have been fixed for now w/ update to 11.

Yeah I had a couple issues where my PCs and laptops didn't meet the minimum requirements for 11.
Upgraded one processor but 11 was glitchy afterwards. This is just another way for Microsoft to make you buy newer products >:(
I've been using 11 on both my main PC and dedicated video editing PC when I upgraded all the internal guts (motherboards, processors, & RAM sticks). I've gotten used to it over the last several months.
I'm getting ready to upgrade to a newer laptop;  Dell Precision 5540 Laptop Core i9-9880H 2.30GHz Quadro T2000 with a SAMSUNG 970 EVO PLUS M.2 2280 2TB PCIe Gen 3.0 x4, NVMe and Crucial 64GB Kit (32GBx2) DDR4 2666 SODIMM RAM that is Windows 11 compatible so that should be a stout upgrade from my current Dell Latitude 3590 8)

Microsoft did it to me again. Latest Windows update caused both battery to stop charging on my Surface Pro and for it to no longer recognize the keyboard cover. Reinstalling Microsoft Surface Pro drivers fixed both issues but still dumb that Microsoft updates repeatedly cause problems for their own hardware but not others.
