Iron Curtain

I had a wild night last night, and I just have to tell you all about it! So I was waiting to see Amityville 4 beamed into my local movie theater from the Belcourt in Nashville but there was a big problem, such as the visuals not showing but the audio playing and when it finally showed, the theater started the event over! That was okay! Great, even! But then it was revealed that it was beamed via Dish, and then we saw a menu on the silver screen with three options:
Quote-Watch Live
-Start Over
-Cancel
Now, what to do is press "cancel", but as the choices were unclear, "watch live" was chosen and we were brought back into the middle of the movie. ARRRGGGHHH!
So then they had to start all over again! I got so frustrated that I lost patience, and then I went to the box office and got a refund! Not only that, but I have a voucher to see another movie! So everything worked out better than expected!

And that's all I have to say about that. I'll probably use the voucher to see Dune with my mom.

The short was great. The movie was about an evil lamp. The guys did all they could with it but.... evil lamp. It was like a less creepy, but better acted Ghosthouse. Also there were a number of callbacks to previous works including Ghosthouse, A Talking Cat, Phyllis Diller's Garage Sale, and anything else that might apply. I thought they brought their A game to a movie that was tough to riff since while the premise was silly, the movie itself was only silly in a few places. Say what you will about stuff like 'Saber Raine' but it had things happening in it constantly to riff on. This they had to make  up a lot of riffs here and there when things got slow.

Overall definitely worth watching and I was glad I went to see it, but also not a classic so you don't have to kick yourself for not getting to watch the whole thing.
