Fortunately, the unholy sea monsters are being kept in a state of suspended animation. (Fortunate for the producers, because it's much cheaper to not have the sea monster puppets move.) Unfortunately, there's one thing that awakens them: horny college students. And WOW does this boatload of drunken college students who just stowed away qualify!

And who can blame them? The yacht has an erotic talking fish clock! It's never explained or even questioned, but its sensual charms are clearly impossible to resist, even once the seamonsters start slashin' throats and jammin' ovipositors places where ovipositors have no right to be jammed.

It's a damp, insane mess of a movie that's probably best avoided if you've recently eaten sushi. Please join Mike, Kevin, Bill, and a genderswapped version of Big Mouth Billy Bass for Plankton!

Ooof, this is a tough one. It feels like someone had seven different ideas for a movie and put them all into an already written script for a boring monster movie:

"Oh, there is this futuristic laboratory! With holographic screens, a sentient wall clock, and a virtual shower assistant!"
"Oh, I want a zombie movie where best friends turn into monsters!"
"Sex sells! We need some completely unnecessary nudie scenes!"
"Drama on the high seas, that's the ticket! A leaking raft, an abandoned ship, scarce resources, and people turning on each other!"
"Frat boy comedies are doing great, we need to integrate that 'humor' whenever we can!"
"Body horror and a dramatic chase scene with a mutated stop-motion creature!"
"Cautionary tale about man's hybris resurrecting forgotten species!"
"We need to do that Evil-Dead-Monster-POV-shot thing!"
"I have that night lamp that is basically a gilded gnome with a huge tallywhacker, and the light bulb is exactly where you think it'd be, we *must* get that one on set!"

It's such a bizarre mishmash of conflicting elements - it's certainly never boring, especially with the riffing, but it amounts to basically 70 minutes of Confuse-a-Cat.

Since the original cut was 86 minutes, a lot of the confusion may be due to Rifftrax's editing. I know why they did it (as I saw the original), but comments like the above are unfair if you did not see it. In fact, some of the riffs make more sense if the deleted scenes weren't deleted, which makes me think Rifftrax screwed up on this one.

I've seen a lot of things in Rifftrax movies over the years that don't seem to fit the movie they're in, but Sexy AI Robot Shower has moved straight to the top of my list.

Fuzzy Necromancer

If nothing else, this movie was pretty good at delivering payoff for its forshadowing. So why did the scientist with the syringe amount to NOTHING?!
Love doesn't hurt. It kills.

Really? I ran it side by side and the only scene of any length I could recall being cut was Bobby being rapey with Topless Virgin chick. And I guess the true purpose of Boner Gnome being there was for the *snerk* symbolism there. Doctor guy feaked out once. Maybe them wandering around the ship. But that was all I could tell.

Also... who the hell thought this taking place on a 'scientific research/party boat' was a good idea? Seriously someone came up with that idea. It looked like it was taking place on two different boats.
