Injuried players out for this game plus 6 players leaving due to injuries during today's game don't help, but Packers continue to suck no matter what the excuses. Gave the Lions their 2nd win of the season. Anticipate Cowboys at home next week will be their 6th loss in a row.

The Bills defense is getting riddled with injuries and we're being exposed not being able to stop the run :grr:
Even the offense wasn't able to do a whole lot against the jets either

I really don't like the combination of the Bills losing and the Patriots (or Jets or Miami, but mainly the Patriots) winning.

Chiefs made a lot of mistakes, but they were playing the Jaguars so win wasn't ever in doubt

And now Fox switches from showing the Bills/Vikings OT to show start of Packers/Cowboys.

Packers came back and beat the Cowboys in OT. Didn't see that happening.

Ugghhh! Next games night games for my 2 teams.
Titans @ Packers Thursday - expect Titans will stop the run better than the Cowboys did. Unless it's close, I'll probably only watch the first half (don't expect it to be close).
Chiefs @ Chargers Sunday -  game the Chargers need a lot more than the Chiefs and Chargers will take advantage of mistakes that the Jaquars couldn't, so hopefully Chiefs don't make nearly as many mistakes.

Browns @ Bills Sunday game moved to Detroit. Sucks for the Bills, but forecast 6 feet of snow is a lot even for Buffalo.

Will likely be some snow falling for game at Green Bay tonight (know there is right now) but no where near 6 inches much less 6 feet.

A lot of Bills fans are PO'd hoping for a snow-game but the Bills might as well stay in Detroit since they'll be playing the Lions 5 days later on Thanksgiving :o

Made it through 3 quarters of the Packers game before calling it a night and going to bed. Doesn't appear as if I missed anything. Any hopes for them making the playoffs pretty much gone now - not thst I really had those hopes myself.

Pastor of Muppets

Okay I'm gonna throw this question out here.  It's partially related to the NFL but also to the NBA, but really broadcast sports in general.

I'm trying to help a friend get access to watch NFL and NBA games.  I think she's also interested in college basketball and football.  I'm a little out of my depth here and we are in a bit of a "blind leading the blind" situation.

So what should I sign up for?  I have heard of Live TV services like Hulu with Live TV, Sling TV, and Fubo.  I also have a subscription to Peacock TV and Paramount Plus, but I subscribed to a low end package and I don't seem to get live CBS or NBC with those.  I could also sign up for a cable package with Comcast, but that seems pricey.

Help me out here.  How do the sports fans here watch the games?
I'm not particularly religious, and I don't really like Muppets, but I do love word play.

I really don't know anything about those providers, but I personally use a 'jail broke' Fire stick with a VPN that can get both the NFL package and the Local channels in case there's buffering issues.
It has the capability to get NBA, MLB, NHL packages if I want them but I just get the NFL package till the Playoffs hit then I suspend the package till August.
But if you don't want to go that route, explore each for the best bang for the buck.

MartyS (Gromit)

A bunch of years ago I tried all the streaming services that do live TV for several months each (Fubo wasn't around then so can't comment on that).

Sling has different packages, so you can focus on the channels that you are interested in, that saves some money but sometimes sports will jump to a channel outside your package.  And getting all the channels is pricey.

Hulu live TV was a pretty good deal but their DVR was terrible.  They used to have a good bundle if you already had Hulu, now it doesn't look like that great of a deal anymore.

Youtube TV has all the channels, good quality, and had a great DVR that would adjust to the time of the game instead of cutting off according to the listed time on the schedule.  But it's now up to $65 a month so no longer much of a better deal vs. a cable subscription.

So, basically all the good deals have gone away, where streaming used to be 1/2 or 1/3 the price of a cable subscription that's no longer the case.  The only one that might be a good deal is to get one of the Sling packages, you'd have to look at the channel lists and see.

But the advantage is that you can start and stop on a month by month basis very easily, I got a YouTube TV subscription just for the baseball playoffs and cancelled it before it renewed for November.

ihavemyreasons

I still have cable TV - mainly cause it's bundled with my internet service and I haven't been able to convince my wife to go totally streaming yet.
But depends greatly on what you want sports wise as to which is best way to go. No one service has everything and even the league specific sports packages still have dumb blackout rules to support the cable companies and local TV affiliates - there are ways around those blackouts - using VPNs - but stupid that in some places like Iowa you can buy the MLB package but have Cubs games blacked out despite not being able to get the games on local TV due to antiquated blackout rules.
ESPN+ great for all things college sports (football, baseball, and basketball) but rest get complicated.

Back on topic - hell of a Chiefs - Chargers game that was back and forth all game with Chiefs scoring late to win by 3.

I got back from my parent's house with my brother and all of us were decked out in out Bills gear... I forgot to take my blood pressure pill before this one :o I was gonna go for seconds of Thanksgiving food but lost my appetite as we were all getting into that game. I just brought home a bunch of leftovers ;D

23 seconds for the miracle WIN... The Bills are 3-0 in Thanksgiving since coach McDermott became our head coach

The Bills make History with Back to Back Wins, Back to Back on the road, in a span of 5 Days in a stadium that wasn't their home venue! Josh Allen is the first QB in NFL history to win Thanksgiving Day games in all three time slots. Very impressive!
:highfive:
