The all 80's/90's action star casting of the Avengers.....

Thats right let's do a little casting of a late 80's early 90's Avengers movie using stars of that time who really wish it was still those times....

Patrick Swayze= Captain America (Really who else embodies the spirit of America other than the Swayze?)
Mark Hammil= Bruce Banner/The Hulk
Dolph Lundgren is THOR
Eric Roberts is Iron Man/Tony Stark
Emilio Estavez is Hawkeye
Bridget Nielsen is She Hulk
Steven Segal is Vision
Judd Nelson in a cameo is The Punisher!
Anthony Michael Hall in a cameo as Spider-Man/Peter Parker

So what say you? Cast the worst possible Avengers movie but keep in mind it should be actors who were hot in the 80's/early 90's but really aren't doing too much now...

Wil Wheton has got to be Spiderman.  He still looks like a scrawny kid.

Bad Guy:  Vin Diesel as anything.  Put him in this movie.

That said, that casting makes me want to puke in horror.    Mark Hammil as Bruce Banner is a really cool suggestion, but what about the Hulk? Lou Ferigno again? I like Wil Wheaton as Spider-Man, but I have to vote for our friend Neil Patrick Harris, who did a fine job voicing Spidey on the much maligned MTV animated series.

My man Cap is not Patrick Swayze, not even as a joke. IMDb may say he's 5'10", but he looks too short to be a Sentinel of Liberty.

Molly Ringwald is Wanda Maximoff, the Scarlet Witch
C. Thomas Howell is Pietro Maximoff/Quicksilver
Emilio Estevez is Clint Barton/Hawkeye
Charlie Sheen is the Vision
With Judd Nelson as Henry Gyrich
And Eddie Murphy as the Black Panther!

But who would they battle?

Yeah shark in the chat we were  trying to figure out who the Avengers main villains are....Ultron and?

For some reason the Kree and Skrull empires ended up fighting over Earth, and the Avengers got in the middle of their war, but neither side is really our enemy. The Fantastic Four tangle with the Skrulls sometimes, though.

Let's see, there's:

- Ultron, evil robot (Created by Hank Pym. OOPS!)
- Kang (time-travelling despot)
- Immortus (turned out to be Kang from a further future)
- Baron Zemo's Masters of Evil (the anti-Avengers)
- Dr. Doom, ocassionally
- Morgan la Fey, (pretty much an evil Merlin)
- Squadron Supreme (thinly-veiled evil Justice League from another dimension)
- Count Nefaria (kinda self-explanatory)
- the Super Adaptoid (recreates others' powers)

Avengers comics have always been very soap opera-ish, so the villains often come second to internal struggles. I'm pretty stumped as to whom they'd fight in an Avengers movie. Probably a Skrull invasion or something similar.

I completely object to having the Punisher and Spider Man on an Avengers team. But I'll give this my best shot.

Yeah, the Punisher has no place on the Avengers, what with his "Kill everybody" policy. I have no problem with Spidey being an Avenger, though. He was a reserve for a long time, and a full-fledged Avenger for those five minutes before Civil War started.

Yeah, vitually every Marvel property has been optioned for movies. Luke Cage, Iron Fist, Deathlok, Power Pack, even Shang Chi have the possibility of getting made into mediocre feature films.

Oh, and Brian Bosworth should play Wonderman.

Eddie Murphey as Black Panther? Man, that'd be horrible. Although I do like Dolph as Thor, he should reprise his role as Punisher in a cameo. And why not have Stallone as Thor.
