What are some of your most hated songs in movie musicals? For me we've got...

Cheer Up Charlie - Willy Wonka and The Chocolate Factory. Good God this part is annoying.
Lalalu - Lady and The Tramp. "Lalaluuuu, Lalaluuu, oh my little starsweeper..." *spews* I love Lady and The Tramp, but have always hated this stupid song.
Any of the half-assed attempts at songs in later animated Disney films... they just stopped caring.

Darn, I can't think of anymore right now.
I know you are but what am I

Fuzzy Necromancer

I think we have to point to the great teen morality play "I accuse my parents" here, with

Love Came Between Us

To start with, there's the title. It sounds like Love was the force that drove them apart from each other, rather than slapping them together like to halves of a greasy subway sandwich.

Now, some of the lyrics

"the kiss-way to the promised land"

The prosecution rests.
Love doesn't hurt. It kills.

"Where there's smoke, there's a smoke-making machine."

Compound

Ahem.

Neeaaaar. Faaaar. Wherevvvver you are. I believe that the heart does go on....

Johnny Unusual

"Shelter of Your Love" from Cocktail.  Is the music suppose to make us feel anything.  And do we need it bashed over our heads every other scene.  It actually makes me nauseous.

Ranika

Grandpa Joe spazzing out and singing about the golden ticket in Wonka. Old fruitcake; it's Charlie's golden ticket, but he's all about himself. "I'VE got a golden ticket." Cram it with walnuts, old man!

That godawful song from Titanic, already mentioned.

The Torgo theme. It's comical briefly but with extended play it gets very, very agitating.

The AWFUL AWFUL AWFUL SENT FROM HELL BY SATAN HIMSELF song that closed out Pet Semetary (which I know sucks but I enjoy the movie anyway). It has the worst lyrics. It's a pity too, cause it was done by the Ramones, who I love. But, Jesus, awful, awful. They at least also used Sheena Is A Punk Rocker, though it was only playing on a radio at one point and being sung along to by a truck driver.

Whatever it was that boar and skinny prick in the Lion King sang about. Actually, I hate the Lion King in its entirety, and all the songs agitate the bejeezus out of me, but that one, that one in particular irked the hell out of me. And my niece loves it.
