Giant Spider Invasion subforum, please.

[Iron Curtain]

Apologies for my impatience, but I'm just itching to talk about Rifftrax's re-riff of the Giant Spider Invasion! I really liked this show! And I wasn't too fond of the MST3K Original. I'd say they hit a home run this time!

So glad I'm not alone in this. I've always thought of it as a classic that I could just never get into. The original happens to have one of my favorite lines ("It's befuddlin' my dumb cracker mind"), and I'm glad they kept a few Packers jokes. But overall, I enjoyed this outing so much more.

All the former MST3K movie* live riffs have been above-average.

The pre-show joke slides need to become standard "digital goodies."  I showed up half an hour early only to sit in front of a blank screen for 27 minutes.  Our theater joined the broadcast in time for us to see about 3-4 slides, just enough of a safety margin to ensure we saw the entire roll of Fathom ads.  I don't know why, because months ago (in the same theater) we saw all the slides before Star Raiders.

*not to be confused with live shows of previous rifftrax movies (e.g. Reefer Mandnes) with recycled jokes.

The notable exception being Space Mutiny. (IMHO)
