When an atomic bomb test triggers the arrival of invaders from another planet who command an army of mutated lizards and insects, one thing is clear: some hack director has combined the dumbest plots of about a dozen b-movies into a single film!

There's one thing standing in the killers way: a square-headed, big-faced guy who, since this is the fifties, we assume is named Steve or Bill. Steve or Bill can't remember how he got the mysterious scar on his chest, which means we're in for many long scenes of men in drab rooms looking serious. Sometimes they invite a woman into the drab rooms and graciously allow her to occasionally indicate that she is concerned.

But when the killers finally appear, all is redeemed! Because they're wearing prosthetic eyes (this is a fancy way to say "ping pong balls cut in half") that make them permanently look like a cartoon wolf who has just noticed an attractive lounge singer.

Join jarringly unnecessary closeups of Mike, Kevin, and Bill for Killers From Space!

I spent a good five minutes spouting "WTF" before I remembered it was done previously as the Film Crew, not Rifftrax. As someone who can't make it to their live shows, I find myself really missing that format.
Meanwhile, DJ Wrong Equipment's career continues to go nowhere.

Yeah I was thinking the same thing "Haven't we done this already?"

I somehow missed that Coleman Francis was in this until this viewing (he answers the phone at the power station).

I was doubtful at first but it was worth the fresh take because it's been a bunch of years since the Film Crew version. This was all new material. Although of all the Film Crew ones this wasn't the one I thought would be back. Wongo is boring but predictable. Giant of Marathon has a lot of potential since we could use another Hercules movie after "Son of Hercules. There is just that low hanging fruit hanging there. The one that is a hard R for its time and is so dark, depressing, and I just don't know if it could be revisited. It's just that the Golden Girls are popular again. Again though its so dark and dreary almost something that would take place after dark.
Fodder's just this guy, you know.

Rented this on Amazon. I couldn't remember the riffs from the Film Crew version, since it's been a while, but this was a very enjoyable outing with lots of humor. It especially felt like Mike was having the most fun with it. Perhaps one of the most boring 'action' movies I've ever seen. Five minute montage of giant insects. Can't imagine how 'enthused' Pete was at doing another one later with giant Grasshoppers.
This was worth renting, and probably owning all over again.
