I skipped 1203 because...well, I wanted to watch this movie.

Boy, was I not disappointed. I think this is the first really great episode of the new series. Fantastic riffing that was consistently funny and had some hilarious peak moments. It felt like classic MST.

The movie was a perfect choice. How many dumb things did this family do? Sure they were confused by the plethora of concepts thrown at them but still. I loved the mix of genres and the "cosmic" ending. Why anyone would look forward to living in a glass dome with a lot flashing purple lights is beyond me. Perhaps because the solar house was so dreary? Was it part of Carlos's vision to have the family home resemble the barn? Was the script thrown into the same blender as The Dark--is that what happened? Did anyone read the script?

The host segs were great. The best song yet and the singing in the theater is well-executed as well even if it still has a less spontaneous feeling than the original show.

Good to see Josh and a perfect choice for his character's, ah, development. I mean, he was was, what, maybe eighteen when he left the show?

eegah

I had actually seen this movie before for some reason.

Great riff! Not quite as good as Atlantic Rim, but still great.

Because Netflix likes to skip the closing credits I missed the stinger. (Also was there any payoff to the referenced older song during the credits?)

You can actually turn off that feature if you get into your netflix account.  It's not super easy to find, though.
