It's not terrible, but I would prefer a bit of a relax pace at times.

I'm watching episode 5 right now, and this one I'm noticing occasions of rushed delivery on some lines, making it unnaturally stilted. As well as too little space between riffs sometimes.

I'm more-or-less liking the new season but I think a good chunk of that is just the nostalgia of it.  But the way they wrote, recorded and inserted the Riffs results in losing quite a bit of "touch" between the riffers and the show, they very much sound like and feel like "recorded at another time and then inserted in later" as opposed to reading from a script along with the whole movie a'la RT, CT, and MST3K:TOS.

It just feels like some pressing a button and riffs come out, notably in "The Time Travelers" during a "...of the future!" bit where the riffs are almost on top of one another and just feels like they're being inserted and not spoken "live" it also loses a lot of the interaction and interplay between the riffers which was a large part of the "charm" in MST3K and what makes RT work so well, it feels like sitting down with three friends and riffing on a movie.    This new MST3K just feels, well, manufactured.

If they get a second season I hope they take these criticisms to heart and rethink the pacing of how they record and place the riffs and have more of a "natural interaction" with Jonah and the bots.

All said, I'm digging the new series and just adore Felicia Day too much.

This expresses my feelings as well.
