Yeah, so far, it seems to be the best of the new season, in large part thanks to it being a bat-shit crazy movie.

When the tiger showed up, I was just like.. what the f... And then the Indian is like "Oh, this must be that tiger that escaped from the circus" WHAT? You've know about this the whole time!? I swear, even the tiger itself looked like he had no idea what he was doing there. Good use of the commercial break too "We find out the movie's been lying to us for the last 45 minutes."

And then the plan to corner it in the tunnel. Brilliant. Lets enter at opposite ends and shoot at the first thing we see. Never mind the fact we're all standing in the middle of the road.

And finally... BANG!

Johnny Unusual

Yeah, that was crazy.  I really question these guys decision to just leave animals alone and get back to them later.

Who are we to question them? They are the professionals.

Well, I got fifteen minutes into this one.  And then shut it off.

I gave it the old college try, but I have to admit it to myself...the new season is not for me.  I do plan on watching it with a couple of my friends later this week to see if it helps, but I simply cannot get into it at all.  Nothing clicks for me, not the pacing, not the hosts, not the Mads (and I like Patton Oswalt!), not even jokes that I thought were decent jokes.  I'm glad everyone else seems to be enjoying it (and if you're digging it, go ahead and do so), but I personally find it unwatchable.

I will admit, though, Sasquatch screaming at the kid's window "YOUR FATHER IS IN DANGER!" was hilariously stupid.  I just wish I could enjoy the comedy around it.

Just FYI, this particular episode gets exponentially better, and more bat shit insane, the further into it you get. It starts out fairly mundane, like "oh, it's just a kids movie about bigfoot", and then then by the end you'll be like "HOLY FUCK, did that just happen?!"

Johnny Unusual

Watched this one again.  Still, REALLY like this episode.  All the jokes about the insane laughter of the characters was really on point.

Considering all  the nature/wildlife shots, I'm kinda surprised at the lack of Marty Stouffer/Wild America riffs.

We were kinda disappointed in the riffing on this one. There were some good ones, but the vast majority didn't register at all. I was actually a little annoyed at times.

Second time through, I liked it a little better. The first half was decent, but the rest was a big dud. Meh. Host segments were meh, too. One of the worst of the season.

BANG!
I love that this has become an MST3K running gag. They used a lot of it in the Live show for EEGAH.

I like this episode. And I do like that the new season has it's own running gag. But it does irritate me that they just yell "Bang!" instead of making the "Pshw!" gunshot noise. It just seems wrong, and lazy.
