Though there are a few I'm really keen to see, the only one I have seen so far was Midnight Special - which I loved.

Checking my Letterboxd account, I only saw 11 films released this year. So my top five looks like this:

1. Midnight Special
2, Civil War
3. Dr Strange
4. Hunt for the Wilderpeople
5. 10 Cloverfield Lane

Hunt for the Wilderpeople was great. By the guy who did What we do in the Shadows. Highly recommended.

The ballots are quite interesting too:

I feel like I'm the only geek who felt nothing for Civil War (assuming you're referring to the Capt. America movie). It was almost totally flat for me.

That's a shame. I thought it wasn't as good as Winter Soldier, but Winter Soldier is my favourite. I liked Civil War a whole lot.

I didn't see Winter Soldier. I kind of got burned out on the MCU shortly after Avengers,
