Original or special edition?

[JusSonic]

Question for this film: is the commentary for the original version or for the director's cut that has Coolio (at least I think it is him) in it?

[RoninFox]

Original version. I think I remember the product description making sarcastic note of the fact that they knew the Director's Cut had Coolio, and that they made the right decision by passing it by.

That's weird.  I seem to remember the store page stating that the riff required the director's cut, all those years ago when i first bought it, so I put the director's cut on my movie wishlist.  I was just now going through my library when I realized that I never got around to buying the movie, and decided now would be a good time to look for a used $4 copy.  I thought I'd double check the RiffTrax listing first, and I found that the store page now has the following in its own little section:

This riff is compatible with the THEATRICAL EDITION of Daredevil.

I distinctly remember the page mentioning Coolio and the director's cut, but I guess more than a few people were confused since neither is mentioned any more.

Luckily I already own the theatrical edition, but all these years I never watched it with the riff.  I guess I know which movie I'll be introducing my wife to next.

Only confused if they didn't read the first sentence of the version note:

NOTE: This RiffTrax will only work with the Theatrical release of Daredevil. We have been made aware that there is a Director's Cut, but seeing as the description of the Director's Cut has the phrase "including an entire subplot involving Murdock defending a murder suspect played by rapper Coolio", we feel we have made the right decision in choosing to riff only the Theatrical release.
